Marketing Specialist

Our client is looking for a Marketing Specialist to join their team. This is a renewable contract located in Mississauga.

This role manages all the marketing programs and activities through distribution and reseller channels and supports execution of these marketing programs to achieve sales performance goals. This is a partner facing role and you will have the opportunity to attend and support events to drive awareness of marketing programs with our partners. In addition, requires each member to be advocates of the latest devices (tablets, touch PCs, 2in1s etc). The right candidate will have a passion for technology.

• Plan and execute Marketing programs on a quarterly basis with our partners. Ongoing follow up with vendor marketing managers to monitor sales, program execution and results. Support and manage several different programs within these key partners. Key Strengths: strong marketing skills, Detail oriented, and a self-starter who can prioritize and drive deliverables with minimal supervision

Project Management:
• Manage the monthly Partner newsletter, social media, yammer communities and our breadth partner portal. Some of these programs involve content leveraged from our head office and are localized and disseminated with the help of an agency. Strong written skills are required for creating content that is targeted to the SMB audience. Knowledge of social media and digital marketing would be an asset. Data analysis and marketing admin:
• Track results of marketing programs using sales (solid data analysis required including knowledge of pivot tables ), coordinate events, and manage integrated marketing campaigns from start to finish. Contribute to the monthly marketing deck and present programs to the team on a monthly basis. Key strengths: highly organized, multitasker and process oriented. Hard excel skills required

Budget and compliance
• Lead the Marketing Budget set- up, monthly reconciliations and compliance. complete all the required marketing activity reporting. There are internal tools in place to manage this.
Key strengths – good working knowledge of Excel, process driven and attention to detail.

Requirement or Qualifications:
• Excellent project management (planning, execution, follow up, analysis)
• Strong office suite skills (must be well versed in excel including pivot tables, and powerpoint)
• Ability to analyze data, and present results of marketing programs
• Strong communication skills - written and oral
• Strong admin skills (multitasking/attention to detail)
• Completed post secondary degree in marketing or equivalent + 3 years of related work experience
• Must be proactive and work well with minimal supervision, as well are part of team.
• Good interpersonal skills and comfortable presenting in front of a small group (internal and to partners)
• Creating SMB programs and knowledge of partner marketing is preferable
• Understanding of social marketing and digital media would be an asset
• A passion for technology

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• 3 years in marketing and marketing communications disciplines
• Partner marketing experience including distribution and channel partners
• Strong marketing communications skills including development of strategy, execution and measurement for web, e-newsletters, direct mail, and events as core vehicles in reaching breadth partners
• Demonstrated success in conceiving, developing and executing marketing campaigns, managing marketing budgets and meeting revenue expectations
• Confident presentation skills
• Self-starting and self-motivating, high energy individual
• Strong planning, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Must be an effective team player and have the ability to work across many areas of the organization

• Bachelor’s Degree – Marketing, Business

Additional Skills:
Aside from the marketing skillsets (marketing execution experience is required), it would be a strong asset to have strong Excel skills (including pivot tables) and the ability to analyze data. Marketing execution
