Marketing Specialist

The role of the Marketing Specialist is to support marketing vehicles, programs and initiatives for Seasonal Marketing and Signage. These marketing activities influence our customers' perceptions and shopping behaviors both inside and outside of our stores as well as online. This position works closely with all marketing vehicle owners, and our internal agency to draft communications, participate in the development of creative materials, and support the team to execute and measure program effectiveness. The Marketing Specialist works closely with the Manager of Seasonal Marketing and the Signage marketing team to support seasonal strategy and signage execution.
Primary Responsibilities

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Support programs and initiatives; interact with marketing teams and tools. Build strong relationships and knowledge base with seasonal
• Escalate issues that could impact timelines, other teams or budget.
• Coordinate across multiple projects/customer touch points to ensure offer and message is consistent.
• Track plan budget, redirect any savings, and adjust plan to avoid shortfalls.

STRATEGY AND PLANNING
• Participate in planning sessions.
• Provide inputs to plans and creative briefs.
• Track top line results for all seasonal marketing activities. Collect and organize data and compile results. Complete ROI analysis for specific campaign elements.

MARKETING EXECUTION
• Work closely with marketing vehicle owners and other departments to ensure flawless execution of marketing plans.
• Communicate and collaborate in all stages from planning to roll out to reporting.
• Draft creative briefs for internal Agency, collect and provide feedback, proof all materials prior to deployment.


Education / Experience: BA or BS required; 1-3 years work experience, could include internships/co-ops. Prior experience in merchandising or marketing required.

Skills:
• Detail oriented, highly organized individual with strong problem solving abilities.
• Ability to work accurately but efficiently, adjusting quickly to changing priorities and aggressive timelines.
• Experience with reporting and metrics including ability to manipulate and evaluate sales and coupon redemption data.
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
• Experience working with/managing agencies and/or vendors a plus.

Work Level: Moderate/Complex
Problem Complexity: Provides resolutions to an assortment of problems which are moderate to complex. The "what" is clearly stated, but the "how" is largely determined by the Associate's judgment with Manager's input.

Supervision / Empowerment: General Supervision.
• Manager defines performance expectations and outlines processes and general work instructions.
• The responsibilities of the job tends to dictate the priorities; May be responsible for proposing approach and solutions.
• Job functions executed with independence and limited oversight.
• Work evaluated upon completion of smaller tasks; project plans defined by Manager and reviewed regularly.
