Job Title Marketing Specialist
Duties To manage and deliver marketing support required of the assigned business unit(s) or assigned portfolio of product(s) including event and conference support, marketing communications, and project management.

Essential Functions:
Assist with marketing tactics needed to deliver an exceptional customer experience at industry conferences and internally-organized meetings/events. Manage event logistics including timely shipping of promotional materials and displays; staffing schedules, and internal event communications.
Implement marketing tactics to help meet marketing campaign and program goals and objectives. Tactics may include content development and channel marketing activities such as web page content, email, direct mail, digital/print advertising, social media, and search engine marketing.
Assist in identifying and developing effective promotional and sales tools and collateral marketing pieces and oversee their implementation. Coordinate marketing communications activities and plans using internal systems and coordinate deployment with regional marketing partners.
Assist in compiling, reporting out, and analyzing marketing metrics and dashboards.
Proactively seek out information on marketing and promotional trends along with competitive activity relevant to the assigned products and business units. Recommend and oversee the implementation of new or revised approaches to the current plan and strategy.
May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.


Nature and Scope:
This position interacts with varying levels of internal and external personnel requiring the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing. Effectiveness in this role requires knowledge of business and campaign plans and strategies as well as industry practices for developing, promoting and selling similar products. The incumbent works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situations requires review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices in selecting methods and techniques; solutions are expected to be creative and practical.

Skills:
Previous experience (1-3 years) in marketing and/or events management is preferred. Excellent communication and teamwork skills as well as analytical, project management and planning skills necessary. Experience developing, implementing, tracking and analyzing marketing tactics necessary.


Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Business-Marketing, Communications, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline, or the equivalent education and experience are required.
