Marketing Specialist

This person may also be responsible for handling event logistics and managing sponsorship program/packages.

High level responsibilities:
• Coordinate the development of event marketing program: elements of the Canadian plan for the Worldwide Conference.
• Program/project management and administration.
• Draft communications (newsletters, portal, blog, social media - partner communications).
• May maintain tool(s) and manage vendor relationship.
• Coordinate events.

Day to day tasks:
• Meetings
• Managing and executing action items
• Project & event management (ownership, timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, progress reporting, etc…)
• Internal & External communications
• Reporting and data scrubbing

Culture of team: This team will be both independent (running their own aspects of the program) as well as highly inter-dependant on one another to succeed as all aspects will be integrated. Everyone is held to high standards and accountability. The team needs to communicate often, clearly, openly and honestly and work well together to accomplish many tasks in limited time span. This team is full of positive energy and has a ‘must win’ attitude when faced with challenges and/or obstacles!

Qualifications:
Must have skills:
• Minimum 3-5 years work related experience in a corporate environment.
• Ability to work under constant deadline pressure and manage multiple projects while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Strong ability to take initiative, be proactive, and work independently with little supervision as part of a team in a fast paced.
• Demonstrated track record of managing, supporting, and executing successful events and communications.
• Ability to work with cross-divisional teams.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills
• Experience with Microsoft products preferred.
• Nice to have skills:
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
• B2B Marketing experience preferred.
• Marketing experience with high technology products preferred.
• Overall understanding of business and taxonomy
• Bilingual

Educational and Industry Background:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a corporate environment.
