Position- Marketing Specialist- Social Media
Location-MISSISSAUGA
Start date-December 12
Duration- 6 months with possible extension
Work is to be done onsite. Remote is not an option.

Hourly pay rate range- $25-30hr

Our client is a GIANT in the software and technology industry and they’ve asked for our help identifying a Marketing Specialist for a 6 month contract engagement

Responsibilities:
Communications Strategy:
• Help develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns (across all appropriate channels) within budget, timelines, and compliance to drive business outcomes
• Work with teams to clearly identify business goals, audience strategies and communications priorities
• Build and maintain Calendar
o Own Audience Access process for groups to communicate with Partner Audiences
o Reflect agreed-upon prioritization of communications
o Use Partner Journey mapping to ensure effective communications and target end actions
o Include various marketing channels and tactics as appropriate
• Assist with maintaining and evolving communication messaging and creating a consistent voice throughout campaign initiatives
• Develop briefs and present to agencies & internal stakeholders after approval
• Take an integrated communications approach i.e. Create digital/social extensions of in-person events

Social Strategy:
• Ongoing social listening & outreach processes (eg. identify & engage beyond our assets): All listening, posting & responding on behalf of the Network in Canada to our Partner (B2B) customers / followers through a variety of social media channels (eg. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, blogs…)
• Create and curate partner-centric digital content across a variety of formats (blogs, infographics, images, videos)
• Own Social Media editorial calendar (as part of overall communications calendar) for each of our Partner audiences
• Create and manage social/digital training sessions for partner audiences
• Manage partner advocacy and social sharing platform
• Governance & Escalation process for Canadian Partner audience
• Using Social Technology tools (eg. Sprinklr)
• Develop influencer outreach programs
• Stay abreast and share digital/social trends

Partner Storytelling:
• Partner evidence manager – Create and manage written and video case studies for partners and customers that align with the Company voice
• Develop and streamline the partner storytelling process with the Customer Evidence Manager
• Assist with maintaining and evolving communication messaging and creating a consistent voice throughout case study initiatives

Agency Management
• Develop strong, long-term relationships with agencies to ensure executionial excellence and the achievement of campaign objectives
• Coordinate execution with relationship marketing, media, and SEO agencies by meeting timelines, budget, scope of work, compliance and attending weekly agency meetings

Operations and Compliance:
• Budget management (forecasting, accruals, invoicing) – work with agencies and services to meet all compliance requirements
• Project-management in partnership with agencies and internal stakeholders
• Coordinate internal M&O services including digital, web, events and analytics team
• Prepare and present in-depth work-back schedules and communications plans which include timing, scope of work, and milestones
• Coordinate approvals with legal, branding, and privacy teams and ensure all feedback is implemented to meet compliance requirements
• Ensure key relationships are maintained with corporate peers in order to keep up-to-date on global best practices (communications and Social)
• Assist in interfacing with all internal stakeholders, (segments, audience manager, BG’s) to solicit feedback and approvals on concepts/objectives/creative in a timely manner with minimal errors
• Maintain historical records available to stakeholders for future reference
• Provide ongoing competitive benchmarking, best practices and innovation ideas to team

Reporting and Measurement:
• Tracking, reporting, analysis & insight generation for Communications and Channels including Social Media (eg. what’s working or not, ideas for innovation)
o Analyze data and trends to apply in development of integrated marketing communication campaigns, and social
o Track and tag campaigns to allow measurement and optimization
o Develop campaign optimizations, prepare and present thorough post campaign analysis to internal stakeholders
o Develop measurement and learning plans
o Analysis on marketing ROI and business impact
o Meet compliance standards at all times
• Deliverables and KPIs:
o Communications Overall
 Communication effectiveness against business targets: Impressions/views/actions against priority audiences
 Return on Marketing Investment within benchmarks – cost per end action, cost per attendee
 Timelines and Project management KPIs – within budget, time, scope of business brief
o Social
 Grow engagement of our “Owned” digital audiences (Interactions & Earned Media Value)
 Grow the size of our “Owned” digital audiences (Fans / Followers / Opt-ins / Influencers)
 Increase value of digital audience to brand (Awareness, CPE, Increased product purchase)

Relevant Skills and experiences:
• Demonstrated superior writing and content creation skills.
• Experience in B2B digital communications and engagement
• Has demonstrated high level of collaboration across multiple stakeholder groups
• Understand how to create brand appropriate voice that can build authentic, relevant, interactive B2B relationships in communications
• Strong analytical skills
• Energetic self-starter, with bias for action and ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Project Management skills - Good at establishing clear directions; sets stretching objectives; distributes the workload appropriately; lays out work in a well-planned and organized manner; maintains two-way dialog with others on work and results; is a clear communicator
• Experience with brand based marketing
• Using consumer / customer research & insights in business planning
• Experience managing performance of agencies, or worked directly at agency
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in English, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism and/or relevant work experience

Preference will be given to candidates who:
• Background & knowledge in B2B technology and the Company product offering
• Multi-lingual
• Experience with technology or communications company
• Currently publish a personal blog or other form of digital content on consistent basis
• Currently maintain an active presence in online space across a variety of social media platforms (Facebook / Twitter / LinkedIN / Google+ / YouTube / Pinterest)
• Demonstrated connection with our primary audience (IT decision makers, SMB, CIOs, business tech trendsetters)
• Customer research experience
• Experience with relevant technology & reporting tools i.e. marketing automation platforms (Marketo)
