Marketing Specialist - Pre-Owned Auto

Our client is looking for a marketing specialist for the division reports into Marketing Director and is responsible for creating marketing campaigns that support program enrollments and trials for customers of previously owned vehicles.

The Marketing Specialist will work with key stakeholders in Marketing, Automotive Remarketing Sales, Automotive Field Team, Operations, Creative Services, Brand Marketing, Talent and Legal to create and implement marketing campaigns that support the business goals of the Auto Remarketing Division. This includes working with Marketing Management on developing, coordinating and implementing merchandising, advertising and promotional programs for both B2B and B2C inclusive of print and digital. Plus, must monitor and report on performance and suggest improvements based on quantitative results and qualitative feedback. The Automotive Remarketing group plays a vital role in subscriber growth and the position requires business insight and strategic development on every project to meet goals. The marketing specialist will also collaborate with key stakeholders on industry events and participate as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Partner with Marketing team to create and implement marketing programs that drive Dealer enrollments into the Pre-Owned & Service Lane Programs and strengthen the customer on-boarding experience for customers buying pre-owned vehicles equipped with satellite radio.
• Lead project development and implementation for programs requiring digital marketing, print advertising, direct mail, collateral/POS, employee/dealer training, and event marketing, with contributions to strategy as well as tactical implementation.
• Responsible for developing creative briefs and presenting program strategy and plans during project kick-off calls with Marketing Director.
• Works with Marketing, Sales Team, Field Team and peers in developing, analyzing, and recommending strategic and tactical changes on marketing, advertising and merchandising campaigns while ensuring brand integrity across all mediums.
• Manages implementation of exclusive Dealer Promotions, Sweepstakes and premium incentives.
• Works with internal and external digital teams on implementation and tracking of Dealer websites and email campaigns.
• Collaborates with other key functions in the company, including in-house creative team, Legal, Brand Marketing, Talent, CRM, Automotive Partnership teams and market research.
• Works closely with OEM Marketing team to ensure alignment on shared marketing and training materials.
• Monitors and analyzes the 2-month online trial activation program and works with key stakeholders on data analysis and provides insight which can be turned into actionable items.
• Maintains annual marketing calendar for all activities in Automotive Remarketing Organization.
• Monitors POS stock levels and usage rates, schedules & orders printing of new or updated materials on a timely basis.
• Manage established budget for specific marketing programs.
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced and dynamic organization and lead projects with autonomy.
• Provide Status reports and analytics on a timely basis.
• Able to participate in off-site events, which may include weekends. (10-20%)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Marketing, Advertising or Communications.
• 3+ years of professional experience
• Advertising agency and/or general marketing experience required
• Experience in Automotive sector or in subscription-based business in a marketing role with areas of advertising, promotions and coordinating industry events is a bonus

• General understanding of Car Electronics, Home Electronics and Mobile Devices
Technical Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
