Marketing Specialist - Portsmouth, NH

Our healthcare client, located in Portsmouth, NH has an immediate need for a Marketing Coordinator. This is a 3-6 month contract position starting at around 20 hours a week and working up to 40 hours a week. Client will require drug and background screening.
Job Summary: Working closely with the Marketing Director, this role supports a building project through a wide range of marketing and communications activities. It requires someone with a strong generalist marketing background and familiarity with both traditional and newer marketing approaches. High-level writing, verbal and presentation skills a must. While the role emphasizes tactical execution, it also requires someone who can think and act strategically and help shape the organization’s marketing direction.

Education and Experience: Undergraduate degree in journalism, public relations, marketing, business, communications or a related field from an accredited college or university. Background in healthcare a plus. Must possess strong analytical, communications, and project management skills. Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and to interact with diverse internal and external groups in a way that reflects favorably on the organization.

Major Responsibilities:

➢ Provides marketing support for all submarket facilities and service lines in such areas as collateral development, advertising, public relations, internal communications, and digital marketing, among others.

➢ Drafts plans for and executes marketing/advertising campaigns with specific, metrics-based goals related to volume, earnings or image.

➢ Assists in measuring impact of marketing activities using ROI modeling.

➢ Writes copy for and helps maintain website(s). Works with division resources on design and navigation enhancements.

➢ Responds to routine media requests (e.g., patient condition inquiries). Drafts news releases.

➢ Coordinates and assists in development of videos and other digital products.

➢ Interacts with Contact Center to maximize its value for the submarket.

➢ Plans, promotes and holds special events designed to raise awareness of the submarket’s capabilities and strengths.

➢ Assists with internal communications as needed.

➢ Serves as marketing lead in absence of Director.

➢ Other duties as required.
