Marketing Research Project Manager

Marketing Research Project Manager needed for growing agency downtown San Diego! This role is mostly remote, and part-time at the onset - and the person must be available for onsite meetings. The Marketing Research Project Manager will be the primary hub of project work for the agency. New project/client will flow into the area of the Project Manager’s responsibility, and the Project Manager will develop and manage the main fieldwork-related and reporting-related project deliverables.

The Project Manager’s role involved approximately 50% interacting with internal and external stakeholders, and approximately 50% working independently creating documents/assets/deliverables (see below).

New Business elements: (25%)
+ Contribute methodology ideas
+ Create cost estimates
+ Write proposals
+ Find appropriate vendor partners, negotiate terms

Project elements: (60%)
+ Write questionnaires
+ Write screeners
+ Write qualitative guides
+ Manage vendors (field firms, focus group facilities, etc.)
+ Manage questionnaire programming (internal or external)
+ Troubleshoot and resolve changes to plan or unforeseen problems
+ Write reports (main body of content), including:
o Quantitative:
• General understanding of the application of statistical analysis
• Creation and/or ideation of charts/tables
• Give commentary on general findings relative to client objectives
o Qualitative:
• Review interviews or focus group session content
• Determine main “big idea” findings relative to client objectives
• Associate direct respondent verbatims to above

Client-facing elements: (10%)
+ Ability to serve as second-line client contact:
o Knows status and can answer client questions on logistics
o Understands the business issues, and can discuss strategy with the client

Best practices due diligence: (5%)
+ Identify new techniques, potentials partners, technologies that may contribute to the improvement of the agency’s offering to clients
