Marketing Research Manager, Ad Sales

Our client is looking for a Market Research Manager, Ad Sales to be responsible for running and analyzing daily/weekly/monthly ad sales research reports. Incumbent will work closely with sales people and marketing to use data in a way that supports sales and client requests.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Run MRI and Scarborough against specific targets based on ad sales, client and marketing requests.
• Analysis of these requests and highlight best strategic points to meet client's targets.
• Develop presentation slides to build and create a story that aligns company with advertiser and their targets.
• Run competitive Kantar spends and analyze and evaluate comparisons to company share of market.
• Update ad sales proposal /presentations with current numbers and demos from MRI and Nielsen Study.
• Run Nielsen weekly cume numbers based on requests from ad sales
• Work on controlled/exposed studies—for advertisers spending 250K or more for ad effectiveness. Work with sales to develop custom questions.
• Client calls with ad sales to present research and findings for custom research
• Identify industry trends across media and update sales and materials accordingly

Minimum Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in ad sales market research, preferably within a media or entertainment company

Requirements and General Skills:

• 5- 7 years’ experience
• Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint
• Solid understanding of syndicated research software and categories
• Strong communication skills and experience in presenting research effectively to client and agencies
• Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to project a professional image over the phone and in person
• Commitment to “internal client” and customer service principles
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects
• Spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to details

Technical Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
