Marketing Research: Consultant

Our client is looking for a Market Researcher with strong project management skills to contract with them. The Candidate must have 5+ years of hands-on Quantitative Consumer (Primary) Market Research project management experience. Talent will be comfortable working with SPSS, cross tabs, frequencies, regression analysis, and managing projects and vendors.

• Deep sector expertise is at least one key industry vertical. Ideally: Consumer Products, Retail, Media, Technology, or Pharma/HealthCare
• Experience applying market research techniques to a wide array of business decisions (including marketing strategy, new product development, strategic planning, investment in new businesses)
• Strong project management experience working with vendors to manage projects
• Must have extensive experience managing market research projects in North America, additional exposure to managing projects in other countries is a plus
• Familiarity with SPSS, SAS or other statistical software application
• Experience programming and fielding Internet-based surveys using software such as Confirm-it, Vovici, etc. considered a plus
• Understanding of statistical concepts as applied to primary research
• Extremely detail-oriented with high quality standards
• Good business sense and ability to see business implications of research findings
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft office, ability to create presentations
• Ability to work as part of a marketing research team
• Advanced degree in market research or business a plus
