Marketing Research Associate

We are looking for a Marketing Research Associate to assist in research operations and analytical activities for market research studies.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in the design of data collection specifications (survey methodology, survey content, etc.)


Assist in the design of data processing specifications.


Assist in the design of sample specifications


Analyze data and identify market insights with supervision


Assist in the authoring of research reports


Assist in the design of client presentations


Assist in the design of web reporting specifications


Check the accuracy of client deliverables (i.e. reports, data tables, mTAB, and web deliverables)


Support business development/sales efforts when required


Assist in design, preparation, and proofreading of proposals


Assist in obtaining internal and/or external price quotes for use in budgeting and proposal development

Functional and Business Knowledge

Applies basic knowledge of market research principles and theories to complete assignments


Develop knowledge of industry(s) being researched/studied


Support corporate strategies

Problem Solving

Demonstrate proficiency in one or more areas of the professional function.


Coordinate multiple study tasks simultaneously with limited supervision


Escalate appropriate/critical issues to supervisor/manager


Assist in identifying opportunities to decrease study costs/increase margins


Advise Project Manager/Reasearch Lead about issues/opportunities affecting the project budget


Assist with departmental efforts to meet project and annual financial targets (revenue, operating expenses, COGS and NOI)

Interactions

Work with other team members and across teams to meet deadlines on particular studies or parts of studies


Establish professional working relationships within the department and with other departments and clients where appropriate


Respond to client requests in a timely manner


Communicate effectively with clients in a professional manner via email, phone, and in-person meetings


Assist in building and maintaining client relationships


Support efforts to position JDPA as a trusted advisor


Attend client presentations where appropriate

Assist study manager with questionnaire development/programming activities


Assist project manager with coordination of data collection activities


Assist project manager with coordination of data processing activities


Assist study manager with coordination of reporting activities (analysis, online reporting, mTab, etc.)

Minimum and Preferred Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Minimum and Preferred Experience/Skills

0 years of experience required but 1 year of market research experience (or equivalent internship) preferred
