Marketing Project Manager/Relationship Manager (Trade Shows & Events)

Under the direction of the marketing manager, the marketing Project Manager is responsible for managing all activities in the development of materials for our client’s meetings and events.

This role is the intermediary between the meeting/event planners and the rest of Marketing to ensure the development and delivery of all meeting and event related marketing materials.
This includes the project life-cycle (initiation planning, executing/controlling, and closing) associated with projects that are across multiple departments within a line of business segment and medium risk, scope and complexity.

Consults with business partners to clarify and define project requirements and business case, including development of a statement of work. Works with clients to understand complex problems and focuses on bringing issues to resolution, escalating as necessary to meet timelines. Creates and delivers presentations to all levels of management on project goals and plans, including progress reports. May be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing outside vendors. May manage a group of projects associated with a specific business function.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years marketing project management experience.

-- Account executive/client service skills
-- Possesses basic troubleshooting and resolution skills.
-- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
-- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-- Ability to document issues as well as work with appropriate parties to resolve questions, issues.
-- Demonstrated leadership abilities, must be pro-active and be able to work under tight deadlines.
-- Positive and high energy
-- Ability to multi-task and handle manage multiple projects simultaneously
-- Comfortable working with all levels of management
-- Excellent presentation skills
-- Strategic and critical thinker
-- Experience working on creative deliverables in multiple media and disciplines (offline and online)
-- Proficient on PC and in Microsoft Office suite of products
-- Hands on
-- Ability to work within budget constraints
-- Understanding of shipping process

Preferred Skills
-- Agency and/or consulting experience
-- 2-4 year degree
