Marketing Project Manager (Digital)

Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, is looking for a Marketing Project Manager with proven experience managing digital marketing campaigns including email, social media, and mobile.

- an email marketing project?
- a print project and worked with external writers/creative?
- updates to website - both entering into a CMS yourself and working with a development team?
- run a project that had 10 plus stakeholders and you needed to negotiate and collaborate to get an agreement?

1. Accountable for planning, prioritizing and coordinating marketing projects in order to meet defined project outcomes and business objectives. Efforts to include small and large marketing projects that may include email marketing, web, mobile, print, social media components, and internal communications.
2. Accountable for identifying, understanding and documenting the current state, opportunities for improvement, future state and resources needed in order to meet project objectives.
3. Act as liaison between marketing department and product development team to ensure that marketing plan and projects align with roll out strategies and timing.
4. Manage and coordinate approvals of deliverables with all stakeholders, compliance and legal.
5. Work with external agency partners to manage budget, timeline and deliverables.
6. Coordinate the resolution of multiple issues and/or solution work-arounds in order to keep the project on track. Negotiate and communicate with business clients, vendors, field and leadership to develop strong relationships to ensure objectives are addressed and expectations are managed.
7. Accountable for identifying and managing client acceptance testing, training and communication.
8. Establish metrics requirements and work with other teams to implement.
9. May leverage content management systems and social media tools to update approved copy.
10. Develop and manage documentation protocols, progress reports and communication schedule to update key stakeholders.


Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in marketing, Business or related field; or related work experience beyond the minimum required.
• Six or more years of experience/knowledge of marketing and communication operations/processes to include analysis, design, documentation, and production using industry best practices and standards. Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget and at necessary level of quality.
• Highly organized individual with demonstrated flexibility to adjust to changing business needs by effectively managing and prioritizing concurrent assignments.
• Proven ability to identify, positively influence and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders representing a broad range of functions and levels.
• Proven ability to negotiate skillfully in difficult situations with both internal and external groups to settle differences.
• Excellent communication skills focused on facilitation of meetings; ability to deliver informative, well-organized documentation and presentations and ability to effectively communicate in difficult and sensitive situations.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage cross functional marketing initiatives. Strong understanding and proven experience managing projects that include email marketing, web, mobile, print, and social media components.
• Embraces change and comfortable in an ambiguous situations where roles are not always clearly defined.
• Ability to think clearly and develop simple solutions to complex problems.
• Knowledge and experience in financial services industry is preferred.
• Proven capability to evaluate user behavior, based on similar industries or digital experiences, in order to align communication and marketing deliverables to consumer expectations.
• Working knowledge of Content Management Systems with the ability to update copy on websites as needed.
