The Marketing Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects for the product marketing team including packaging, products, digital and print materials. This position will develop and monitor project timelines, complete related tasks and follow up with team members to ensure on timely completion. The Project Manager will also be responsible for managing the custom consumer product process including product build, sample creation, cost analysis and working with operations on feasibility study. This role will also be responsible for maintaining up to date marketing and sales assets such as digital images, sales sheets and trade show materials. The Project Manager will work closely with the marketing, operations and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate follow through on marketing projects.
PRIMARY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the custom kit process including: discovery on customer needs, cost analysis, sample creation and item set up. Work with finance on quoting.
Source components for new products and custom kits, while working with the Vancouver and China operations teams.
Manage and prioritize the design process related to packaging materials, product prototypes and samples of both stock and custom kits.
Lead the creation, delivery and optimization of sales and marketing materials.
Maintain marketing information database including print and electronic assets.
Proof and edit artwork for marketing materials and product packaging.
Lead trade show preparation and follow up with the sales and marketing teams.
Must be able to effectively accept and give constructive feedback.
EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree
5+ years of proven successful experience in project management, preferably in a consumer-goods product environment working with operations, sales and marketing.
Highly proficient using Microsoft Office Suite. Strong Excel skills and familiar with pivot tables.
High energy, results driven and a self-starter that can work independent and as part of a team.
Successful at managing multiple projects at once, working under tight deadlines, and prioritizing based on urgency of projects.
Able to provide highly detail-oriented, precise, and accurate information and instructions within specified timelines.
Problem solving, organizational and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills that can inspire trust, teamwork, ethical behavior and display a sense of caring for the company and its entire staff. Fluently read, write and speak English.
