Marketing Programs Consultant - Regulatory

A large energy company in San Francisco is looking for a Marketing Programs Consultant to join their team. The main objective of this role will surround creating strategic marketing responses to regulatory issues.

Qualifications:
• 4+ years of experience in Regulatory or Policy environment or in a Marketing related field that includes some regulatory or policy interaction.
• Previous experience working with and leading departmental cross-functional teams or projects including teams such as Products, Legal, Operations, and Marketing Communications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Business, Marketing, Customer Experience Management or similar field.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Ability to gain knowledge and comprehension of new subject matter areas.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Collaborate with internal teams to create strategic marketing responses to regulatory issues that will come before regulatory committees.
• Serve as a liaison between with the regulatory case manager and the marketing department related to program approval proceedings and represent the position of marketing in case development meetings.
• Host team meetings with Marketing Strategy, Products, Operations, Legal, and Customer Insights to discuss strategies, review responses and resolve outstanding issues.
• Assist in the development of documents such as, but not limited to, testimony, workpapers, data requests, and advice letters.
• Project management to support scheduling and coordination of timelines and deliverables.
• Identify marketing and customer perception related elements of regulatory issues that need management level attention and support strategic objectives
• Monitor crossovers in regulatory and policy issues related to marketing. o Ensure consistency of message in external regulatory forums for all marketing initiatives.
• Work with the marketing strategy lead and other departments as necessary to form our positioning and prepare for future filings.
• Track and provide strategic guidance to ensure that appropriate marketing funding is requested, without overlap from other proceedings.
• Support the delivery of ongoing and ad hoc reports as required by internal management and regulatory committee requests.
• Support the development of regulatory reports and data requests, coordinate input from key stakeholders, develop content, educate stakeholders to obtain final approvals, and provide final edits as necessary.
• Support special projects as assigned by management.
