Marketing Programmes Manager

The Developer Experience team at our Client is at the forefront of new technology. Its customers have expanded from a purely technical audience to anyone who builds an app or service for their customer. The pace is fast, proactive and fun with a start-up ethos (learn as you go).

Our Client's Technical Audiences has many facets - Emerging developers - web devs, app builders, cloud devs, start ups, students, hobbyists; Established developers (traditional Enterprise developers, mainly focused on .NET) and IT Pro’s. This role is focused around the IT Pro audience but may be required to work across all to support team agility.

The role of the IT Pro Team is to evangelise our latest technologies to the IT Pro audience, ensuring that they are engaged with our messaging and are motivated to try and learn. This role is aimed squarely at the IT Pro audience which includes: Infrastructure Specialist/Manager, IT Manager, Datacentre Manager, Systems Administrator and Desktop Manager.

Day to day the role will work in close partnership with the wider developer focused team, Evangelists and Marketing Managers to develop and deliver marketing programs and campaigns. The role reports into the IT Pro Marketing Manager.

The Marketing Programs Manager will focus on the following areas:

1. Event Management and Support - including demand generation, engagement activities, logistics and setting up data capture forms/urls
a. Third Party Events
b. Microsoft Events
c. Community Events
2. Budget/Purchase Order Management - raising purchase orders and sources quotes from suppliers, forecasting.
3. Reporting - collation of reporting data for the purpose of reporting the health of the business to stakeholders in the UK and the Corp.
4. Partnering with other parts of the business on activities to secure mutually beneficial outcomes such as the IT Camp events motion.
5. Supporting the Audience Marketing Lead with ad hoc marketing activities

How to be successful

To be successful, we are looking for someone with a can do attitude. You will be happy to roll up your sleeves and be part of the team. You will have managed events, marketing campaigns and have a confident level of ability with Excel and Powerpoint. A knowledge of the IT Pro audience would be a bonus but not essential.

Successful individuals will have high energy and passion and a commitment to delivering excellence. Ideal candidates will be flexible, adaptable with a friendly, open and informal style.

Team/ Department Mission

Our objectives are to engage with more IT Pro than we have ever done so before. This includes those who are using our technology but simply not engaged and those who are not currently using our core IT Pro infrastructure technologies.

Key Accountabilities, Tasks and Activities

• Successful delivery of events - on time, to budget, with the right people attending.
• Successful management of purchase orders - created on time to quartile accountability
• Delivering reporting on time to a high level, providing valuable insights to customer behaviour
• Management of marketing campaigns
• Supporting the IT Pro team with ad hoc requests example: shipping of collateral to third party events to support a last minute presentation

Desired skills

• Proven event management skills - logistics/demand generation/communication
• Demand generations skills - experience of targeted demand generation for example
• Demonstrates high level of collaboration across multiple stakeholder groups
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including writing for a variety of mediums & channels
• Strong analytical skills
• Energetic self-starter, with bias for action and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Commercial communication planning & execution
