Marketing Program/Event Manager

Upcoming 6-Month to 9-Month Temporary Need: Marketing Program/Event Manager executing the planning and coordination of several marketing initiatives. Focus will be on assisting on several programs/events. These events are all about enterprise connections. Need to have heavy events and thought leadership experience. There will be a fair amount of social media activities and some analyst work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Execute all aspects of several programs, encompassing a large geographic area.
• Responsible for helping with communications, meetings, receptions and other events for these programs.
• Assists with all marketing activities.
• Helps track and monitor expenditures to operate within approved guidelines and monitor return on investment.
• Project-manages and assists other team members with vendor and venue selection and other program logistical needs, including staffing receptions and other external marketing events to ensure their success.
• Works closely with production company on all elements of show production and staging for dinners/galas.
• Ensures timely and complete submission of applications.
• Helps develop local marketing materials.
• Works with multiple stakeholders and teams to drive firm-approved messaging and brand management associated with the programs.
• Works closely with team in supporting strategic marketing and business development opportunities; helps foster relationships with key stakeholders.
• On-site management during events.

DECISION MAKING RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Demonstrates a high level of understanding and application of principles and practices of program management with minimal supervision.
• Duties are generally varied in scope and are complex. Seeks input on decisions when appropriate from managers.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Heavy experience in event management, thought leadership, social media: blogs, LinkedIn, Facebook, and analyst work.
• Ability to help coordinate multiple programs and/or events at one time.
• Extremely flexible attitude -- for example, will roll up sleeves and get the work done, be able to really go with the flow, and not get frustrated when something changes mid-stream.
• Strong organizational skills are required to be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong executive presence and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with C-level executives and business leaders and their teams.
• Capable of working with multiple stakeholders.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Must have recent, deep relevant program/event experience.
• Approximately 7-10 years marketing and program management or equivalent experience.
• Experience in professional services environment a plus.
• Must have MarCom capabilities and outreach enterprise solutions experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ideally you will be located in Atlanta, San Francisco, or Seattle. Our client is open to other locations as well.
• Work offsite, approximate hours being 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (these hours may be adjusted based on your location) plus overtime.
• Some national and international travel are required.
• With this assignment, you will be required to pass a background check prior to starting work.
