Marketing Program Manager

This individual will own and drive winning marketing strategies for the Reproductive and Genetic Health Business Unit and associated campaigns/programs in concert with commercial business strategy and brand strategy. This person will establish strategic design and communications plans, and push for quality assurance and integrated communications across multiple outbound marketing channels. This person will interact and collaborate with a matrixed, geographically dispersed team of personnel in the execution of the above.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Understand assorted customer needs in Reproductive and Genetic Health including providers, health systems, and labs and be able to translate these needs into successful marketing programs that drive revenue growth.
Embrace customer and marketing insights to help guide strategies and ensure that all layouts and copy deliver on the message map, positioning and Creative Brief.
Drive the development and execution of targeted marketing messaging and programs, go-to-market strategy and tactical activities.
Create outlines/marketing copy for written collateral to convey key messages to targeted audience(s).
Implement and track activities, adjusting as needed to maximize effectiveness and routinely report back on that effectiveness to Sales and Marketing management.
Work collaboratively with global product marketing team, providing input and validation on product positioning, messaging and outbound marketing strategy/mix.
Serve as an expert on customer behaviors, needs and responses to programs in specific segments and in the business overall.

Preferred Experiential Background:

Minimum 7 years experience in marketing, marketing communications and/or product marketing in medical devices, diagnostics, pharma or life sciences.
Excellent writing and editing skills are required. Writing for different audiences including promotional copy for healthcare providers/patients and training documentation for internal audiences is necessary. Must be able to edit variety of texts and consolidate contributions from various internal/external authors and maintain consistent perspective or voice for overall document.
Strong attention to detail is required. This is needed not only in editing his/her own copy; but also in follow-up on tasks such as making sure marketing documents are complete in the document control system.
Strong orientation to delivering to deadlines when projects are scheduled.
Understanding of life sciences, sequencing/array technology highly desired.
Flexible; can work in a mixed small company/large company environment.
Experience working in women's health is preferred.
B2B and B2C experience preferred.
Proven track record and experience in leading campaign and program development.
Sales experience is desirable.

Preferred Educational Background:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business/communications or the biological sciences, chemistry, or genetics. MBA or other related degree in business, marketing, communications is highly desirable.
