Marketing Program Manager -Financial Services

Our client is one of the world's largest banks and has asked for our help in identifying a MARKETING PROGRAM MANAGER on a contract basis. This individual can either work in Wilmington, DE, Boston, MA, Pennington, NJ, or NY, NY.

This is a long term contract with no opportunity to become permanent. The work must be done on-site M-F during normal business hours.


The Marketing Program Management Officer’s key function is to assist the Team Lead in managing all Strategic and Demand Generation Marketing tactics across multiple marketing channels for a self-directed investment service. To assist the lead, resource must manage marketing campaign execution end-to-end including reporting/routines, and support strategic planning for new product/service launches.


1. Program Management:

· Coordinate and integrate marketing programs across various channels, requires partnership with channel partners, agencies, line of business and fellow marketing partners.

· Develop and manage program schedules. Partner with lead agency to capture strategic projects and tactical execution from lead and partner agencies. Validate schedules to ensure all reviews and socialization are accurate and incorporated.

· Hold channel and agency partners accountable to drive toward acquisition / awareness programs on time, on budget.

· Accountable for overall Program Scorecard maintenance, Action Items/Action Record and track status to goals for Program and Team Lead. Manage overall annual calendar to stay ahead of deliverables

· Assist with LOB review and approvals as well as Legal and Compliance reviews across the marketing tactics and channels.

· Produce weekly program highlights report to show 30-day view of program activity as well as track watch/risk items.

· Facilitate weekly program status call, holding key partners accountable for progress toward program schedules.

· Identify and mitigate risks that may occur as a result of marketing activities.

· Track down and manage any potential breaks in marketing program process, identify root cause and ensure mitigation actions take place as necessary.

2. Integrated Campaign & Demand Generation Management:

• Oversees direct response programs across channels, ensures message, testing and creative is on strategy / plan.

• Facilitate approvals (Marketing, LOB, Legal and Compliance).

• Provide channel support for: Public Relations, Digital / 3rd Party, Trigger programs, Direct response DM, EM, SASO, CIM / Outbound, Statements, ATM as well as support any integrated campaign tactics such as TV, Print, etc.

• Partner with other business areas driving marketing programs (internal / external) that include investment / Merrill Edge. (Small Business, Platinum Privileges, Associate Banking & Investing, etc).

Percent of time: 30%

3. Internal Readiness and Engagement

• Ensure employee communication teams (Merrill Edge phone center, banking center as well as MLWM Field FAs)have awareness and education of company programs/tactics.

• Lead team member who is ultimately responsible for call center readiness by serving as a liaison with key business partners to share marketing volumes and timing.

• Contribute / drive communication activities to promote engagement, adoption and referrals.

Percent of time: 10%

4. New Product launch support:

· Support launch of new products, features, services.

· Manage G2M strategy and execution for launches (Trademarks, ads, direct mail, email, online sales site, etc.)

Percent of time: 10%

5. Other duties:

· Supporting Development of Leadership Presentations: Support ad hoc requests for contributions to leadership presentations and providing information relevant to the acquisition team

· Assist Lead with the management and execution of ad-hoc programs such as videos/demos, social media, etc.

· Assisting Team Lead in Ad Hoc special projects

Percent of time: 10%


· Experience with marketing campaign development and execution

· Executive Level Relationship Management Familiarity with self-directed and advisory brokerage services

· Experience/familiarity with internal and external Communication channels

· Experience/familiarity with Direct Response Marketing Channels

· Advanced knowledge of associate internal communication channels and processes

· Consulting experience for program/project management

· Understanding and experience in both BAC’s Business as Usual and Transition Methodologies for project execution.

· Change management: Communications and Training definition, planning and delivery management

· Strong project management skills and experience

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to work independently

· Financial Acumen

· Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel - be able to help draft executive level presentations
