Marketing Program Analyst

A medical device company is in need of a Marketing Program Analyst who will be responsible in providing analytical support for the Marketing and Finance teams on two specific short-term initiatives:
1. Global customer loyalty program
2. Summer promotion program (collection and distribution of the relevant data to accounting for execution of the discounts associated with the promotion)

In this role, you will report to the Associate Director of Marketing Analytics, but will work closely with the Director of Finance for Sales and Marketing, the revenue accounting team, the business intelligence team and others.

This is a 40 hour/week 5 month contract starting in July.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Run data queries to assess performance of promotion program and provide basis for quarterly accruals.
• Compile and deliver data to revenue accounting for issuance of promotional credits earned at quarter end.
• Marry historical data from different sources and incorporate growth projections to model impact of potential changes to customer loyalty programs. Ensure all inputs/assumptions are clearly documented and deadlines are effectively met.
• Provide other ad hoc analysis on as needed basis.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in business field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of analytics experience in Marketing, Sales Operations or Finance
• Strong experience in building models in MS Excel required
• Strong database query skills required (specifically, MS Query; MS Access or SQL)
• Analytical skills – data analysis, financial analysis, marketing analysis, etc.
• Must be STRONG in Excel (pivot tables, vlookup etc) : will be building functions, doing financial modeling, forecasting, looking at various scenarios within Excel (come up with recommendations based on insight realized within Excel), looking at historical data and be able to ascertain what the financial impact is (like ‘if we change x to y, what will it do to the overall picture’?)
