Marketing Professional - Insight Strategist

Our client seeks an Insight Strategist with 1-3 years of experience in advertising or marketing strategy (or related role) to join their Strategy team (long term contract position).

The Insight Strategist is part investigative journalist, part research wonk and part landscape artist. A skilled apprentice in cultural analysis and data-driven storytelling, the Insight Strategist will build unique perspectives on client industries and create meaningful profiles of the habits, priorities and proclivities of target consumers.

With a love of both the forest and the trees, the Insight Strategist must independently navigate complex brand landscapes and cultural phenomena, be adept at leading ad hoc research projects, and prove skill in distilling large bodies of knowledge down to the most salient points.

While most involved in the early fact-finding phases of a project, the Insight Strategist will work directly with senior brand strategists to help brief creative teams and assist in the development of a range of brand strategy deliverables.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Proposing and leading quick-turnaround consumer and competitive research (e.g., informal interviews, field research, desk research)
• Creating clear, engaging profiles of target consumers
• Participating in preliminary client conversations and contributing meaningful, data-supported insights in group settings
• Building and presenting polished research summaries and analyses (often in PPT)
• Quickly assembling competitive and consumer intelligence for new business conversations
• Trend-spotting and regular reporting of cultural insight to internal teams
• Contributing to the unique Creature culture
