Marketing Production Artist/Designer

Prestigious law firm in Palo Alto is seeking a multi-disciplinary designer in-house to help with everything from print, to email, to web graphics. You will be jumping between PPT, MS Office, and CS5, as well as doing light HTML to code for email (This is a MUST have!)

Design work will include a variety of things, such as mini bios of people in company and mini bios of attendees of events. Facebook content, door name plates, ppt templates, name badges for conferences, newsletters, practice area informational sheets.

This is a long-term contract, on a temp-hire basis.


Summary
Our Creative Services team creates solutions to meet the firm’s visual communication needs, both digital and print. Our projects span all facets of digital communications—interface design, email outreach (client alerts, event invitations, announcements, and newsletters)—as well as a diversity of printed marketing collateral, presentations, photography, and file manipulation. This position would be primarily production, but there would be the opportunity to contribute design ideas.

Skills
Essential core software skills to include Adobe CS5 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Dreamweaver, and some Flash. Adobe Acrobat. Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Outlook & Excel. Familiarity with QuarkXpress a plus.
Experience in digital document creation with the ability to produce clean html code (using Dreamweaver or hand-coding).
Coding email communications with cross-browser and email client functionality.
Working experience using CSS.
Experience with Microsoft CRM a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Outlook Email Stationery deployment a plus.
Ability to troubleshoot digital and print file production issues.
Display excellent customer service and communications skills.
Works comfortably within a team environment.
Is comfortable on both Macintosh and PC platforms.
Able to multi-task and juggle frequently changing priorities while exhibiting grace under pressure.

Responsibilities
Responsible for creation and editing of artwork in variety of media for both digital communication and print applications.
Must have an eye for detail in order to ensure all edits are correctly made and instructions are thoroughly followed with regard to each project.
QCs projects to avoid technical problems both in print an on digital communication devices. Knowledge of multiple platform requirements and the ability to troubleshoot coding problems essential.
