Marketing Product Manager

This position will be responsible for managing and growing Mobile Accessories and Consumer Electronics product line for the US market.

Responsibilities include product launch, product development, product marketing and business strategy for computer accessories in addition to maintaining spreadsheets, part number entry / maintenance, product compatibility and PSI (Purchases, Sales, Inventory) communication within internal departments.

• Responsible for achieving quarterly financial targets for Mobile Accessories and Consumer Electronics including revenue, margin, profit and units.
• Multifunctional role that includes responsibility for business, channel and segment marketing, product marketing and product management functions.

Product Marketing and Management
• Develop customer-facing sales presentations and work with internal marketing teams to deliver compelling sales and marketing plan / content / collateral for relevant B2B Accessories and all Extended Service Plans.
• Support all necessary regional product/channel management functions including Oracle pricing maintenance, price list change notifications and price protection communication.
• Act as product management focal point for all Accessories subsidiaries operating within North and South America including Canada, Mexico and Latin America.

Pricing and Forecasting Analysis
• Define pricing strategy and cost requirements to achieve revenue, unit and profit goals.
• Create product forecast budget for monthly PSI (product, sales, and inventory) process. Manage PSI forecast and sell-out for Accessories to meet our budget goal.
• Create and drive product level PSI for Accessories. Develop monthly PSI slides detailing channel performance and explaining deltas between actuals and PSI. Present plans on counter measures to increase demand to close any gaps to plans.

Product Launch
• Create product messaging and positioning statements for each product. Support and participate in press activities.
• Drive and coordinate product launch activities across the organization working with team members in other departments. Develop, coordinate and drive execution of marketing and business plans for assigned product lines.
• Provide product knowledge and expertise to all marketing organizations Create marketing and sales tools to highlight clients product advantages versus the competition.

Product Development/Strategy
• Overall responsibility for product marketing and business strategy for Mobile Accessories and Consumer Electronics.
• Gather the voice of the customer through market research activities, customer visits, and channel partner feedback to drive marketing activities and future product requirements.
• Analyze competitive market conditions, primary and secondary market research, sales trends, and technology trends to provide input into the Global Product Planning Process and internal marketing activities to ensure that clients products are well positioned from a pricing and feature basis.
• Responsible for customer facing web and sales collateral including customer presentations, product roadmaps, sales sheets, product positioning, and present strategies and updates to customers, media, internal teams and executive management.
• Review and update all product-related documentation and develop/guide packaging,
• Maintain and update messaging throughout the lifecycle of the product.
• Provide input for and participate in trade show activities.
• Work with Engineering and Service and Support organizations to ensure world class customer experience. Responsible for secondary product testing as part of regional development process.
• Work with Product Development/Planning teams to develop and drive product strategy, roadmap plan and define product lifecycle management (PLM) strategies.
• Responsible for coordinating and communicating with vendors with regard to product development, specifications, marketing materials and promotions

• Work with other departments to maintain and update various Excel spreadsheets to communicate status on new products being developed
• New part number entry, maintenance of existing SKUs through end of life and UPC generation.
• Communicating with internal launch teams and overseas counterparts on new product compatibility

• BS/BA Marketing, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and related business experience.
• A minimum of eight (8) years of Product Management/Marketing experience for consumer technology products.
• Direct product development/management/marketing experience in Mobile Computing Accessories for Laptops, Ultrabooks, Tablets, AIO and Consumer Electronics highly desirable.
• Highly proficient in MS Office applications with emphasis on both PowerPoint for presentations and Excel spreadsheet knowledge for forecast and pricing responsibility. MS Access database knowledge a plus.
• Strong track record for developing effective working relationships (both internal and external) and collaborating across various internal stakeholders. Prior experience in working with overseas counterparts is a requirement.
• Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate and present to senior management and customers.
• Proven track record of building team consensus and collaborating across functional lines. Project management experience highly desirable
• Highly motivated, results oriented, ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with little day-to-day direction. Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly based on business requirements. Ability to work independently and deal with ambiguity and unexpected challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to drive product strategy through influence and market knowledge by delivering solutions to exceed customer requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to proactively recognize issues and to develop solutions & processes/programs to exceed expectations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize activities in a fast paced environment with limited guidance from senior management.
• Responsible for coordinating and communicating with vendors with regard to product development, specifications, marketing materials and promotions.

• 15% national/international travel will be required in addition to weekly after-hours or early-morning conference calls with overseas teams and vendors.
