The Product Specialist will be responsible for driving online advertising revenue for his / her product focus area, and bringing deep expertise of the product offering to clients. This role will evangelize Company value proposition to marketers, agencies and industry alike as well as educate Field Account Teams on solution opportunities, training on the value proposition, cross selling across the network, into the Field Team’s account plans.

Additionally, the Specialist will be the voice of the customer, driving advertiser feedback into Product Management and Product Marketing and the teams to facilitate product enhancements. Through close consultation with clients & account teams, identify new and innovative solutions not yet provided by the Company, and work with the product and engineering teams to scale & package those “solutions.”

A successful performer in this role will:
• Play the role of a product expert. This includes:
o Equipping the Account Executives with appropriate product information for each client
o Participating in client presentations by speaking in depth about the product and benefits and addressing client needs
o Supporting Solution Specialists by equipping them with product info needed to devlope full solutions
• Support 12 AE’s in Toronto and Montreal which will involve managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Question effectively to reveal broader and deeper information with all parties involved in the sale of the solution
• Have a deep understanding of emerging product features and attributes and the benefits offered to advertisers
• Probe to understand fully any potential implications / problems before making a final recommendation or decision
• Prioritize accounts effectively to get best ROI (Return on Investment)
• Create and maintain simple business / account and opportunity plans for assigned accounts
• Display an in-depth knowledge of Company products and services
• Make sound business decisions on a regular basis working with external customers and internal departments
• Recognize when negotiation is required and when to draw in appropriate levels of help and expertise
• Configure products and services to match capabilities to customer needs

Skills and Qualifications:
• Comprehensive knowledge of online advertising / media sales / media buying, 4+ years of experience
• Experience working and communicating with client stakeholders and decision makers at a senior level
• Highly entrepreneurial, self-sufficient and able to work independently to successfully grow and foster long term client relationships
• Proven experience in successfully building and growing advertising sales revenue
• Experience with marketing or product marketing a plus
• Previous project management and cross team leadership experience
• Strong Presentation and Negotiations skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to identify critical issues and drive for quick resolution
• University degree required, MBA a plus
