This role is responsible for the management of a global editorial programme which provides all of the content for the International site and most of the content for major local market sites. This requires sourcing content for the site from a wide variety of content stakeholders across the business, including global insights and product teams, and briefing copywriters, designers and publishers (the rest of the Global Operations team) to create the best web treatment of the content, ensuring best practice web publishing guidelines are being followed. The role also works to ensure all content is optimised for SEO and amplified across our social media platforms (working with the Community team). The role is responsible for setting editorial guidelines and managing an editorial calendar, ensuring that International site content promotes the priorities of the Display business and is up to date and accurate, managing site audits and scrubs where necessary.

As well as the proactive editorial programme, this role will also be required to execute reactive site management or publishing tasks on the International site in a timely manner where necessary.
In addition to the International site, there are 11 local market Display sites. Whilst local site managers carry out their own day to day site management, the International Site Manager works closely with them to communicate global content updates as well as source additional local content and site requirements. This role is a key conduit for communicating best practice site and publishing management to local site managers and ensuring local adherence to global standards (brand, design, IA, legal etc).

This role works closely with the Analytics and reporting team in helping ensure correct web tracking is set up, providing insights on activity on the International and local sites to inform monthly scorecards, and works on improvements to the International site to optimise site KPI’s.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential Experience
• Min 5 years web/ digital marketing experience
• Experience in web publishing and CMS systems
• Knowledge of SEO best practice
• International marketing or site management experience
• Proficient user of Microsoft packages [word, ppt, excel]
• Project management
• Experience or knowledge of web analytics, particularly Omniture/ Adobe Analytics

Desirable Experience
• Previous experience in running a web content/ editorial programme
• Experience in the digital advertising/ media industry
• Knowledge of html and other web software packages
• Social media exposure

Personal Attributes / Interpersonal Skills
• Extremely strong attention to detail
• Skilled cross-group collaborator – experience in dealing with a large number of stakeholders
• Excellent oral and communication skills as frequently communicating complex concepts to non-english speakers
• Structured and organised – able to manage multiple projects at one time
• Senior Influencer

• Degree level education or equivalent

Special Requirements/Additional Information e.g. Language skills
• Some travel may be required. Native fluency in English. Other languages an advantage.
