Marketing Manager, Membership

A well-known international non-profit organization in Washington, DC is currently seeking a Marketing Manager to start immediately. This client is willing to hire off a resume and samples. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related discipline and/or 5+ years’ experience working with members or customers. Having experience working in a non-profit is a plus, and the proven ability to implement successful direct response marketing campaigns involving emails, print collateral and digital campaigns are required. This position is an open ended contract and would require this person to be full time and on-site.



JOB DESCRIPTION/DELIVERABLES:

MAJOR DUTIES:


• Function as an Account Manager to support membership and manage all marketing activities to support member recruitment and retention efforts in the assigned individual segment


• Develop, launch, and measure effective communications including print, digital, web and social media outreach to support new member recruitment and retention goals


• Manage email deployment through Exact Target and Advantage systems


• Work with designers to develop all print campaigns and manage production and external printers to ensure accuracy of each campaign


• Work with copywriters, designers and other internal and external vendors to support the client’s marketing needs


• Manage internal client relationships and act as liaison between the customer and all functions of the marketing department


• Use project management to organize all projects and ensure all outreaches are developed and deployed on time and within budget


• Work to expand the ROI from trade shows through developing creative marketing campaigns, sponsorships, and lead generating programs


• Report on trends, statistics and analysis re: marketing campaigns and activities



POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• ‪Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related discipline and/or 5+ years’ experience working with members or customers (non-profit experience a plus)


• Proven ability to implement successful direct response marketing campaigns involving emails, print collateral and digital campaigns


• A deep understanding of print production and background managing external vendors such as printers, mail houses, copywriters, and designers


• Exceptional communication and organizational skills


• Experience with email deployment systems (Exact Target experience a plus)


• Ability to coordinate and administer multi-faceted programs and projects


• Excellent analytical and customer service skills


• Solution oriented self-starter who can work under and meet multiple deadlines


• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to achieve results
