Our client is looking to hire Marketing Product Manager Consultants with full life-cycle (medical device) product development and upstream marketing experience on an 18-24 month contract in a northern suburb of Chicago. (There is a strong possibility for permanent employment after 18 months.) This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with 2-5 yeas of experience to be mentored by an experienced product development team with backgrounds from leading organizations. (Medical Device, Biotech or Pharma experience is required for this role. This is also a Product Management and not a Sales role)

This position is responsible for the strategic life cycle management for medical product(s). The role will drive day-to-day product development efforts, line extension enhancements, product obsolescence execution and Lifecycle Product Management.

• Drive product development efforts based on voice of the customers
• Develop user needs, product design inputs and design trade off and use cases as part of the product development process
• Manage and lead product strategies based on customer insights, clinical practice, competitive intelligence and industry trends
• Manage the annual long range planning process

• Minimum 5 years in the medical device healthcare industry preferable with Infusion Systems experience. Clinical background a plus.
• Must have 1-2 years in a product development role in life cycle management--and solid understanding of formalized product development processes
• Upstream marketing experience
• Data driven with strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills to bring the organization to consensus on decisions on both short- and long-term product plans.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• MBA preferred.
