Marketing Manager (Financial Services)

We are looking for a rockstar Marketing Manager for our financial services client in the Northwest Suburbs. This is a temp-hire position that will start ASAP. Must be detailed-oriented, a true team player, and constantly focused on strategy that results in growth!

This position is primarily focused on and responsible for working with marketing team and other stakeholders to translate business goals into actionable and measurable advisor recruiting marketing plans. This position reports into the Head of Advisor Marketing. Key objectives include:

• Assist Head of Advisor Marketing in managing and effectively executing recruitment strategy and coordinated lead generation and marketing programs leveraging all mediums (advertising, PR, direct mail, email, webinars, events, thought leadership, etc) to maximize ROI
• Coordinate with all groups across marketing (PR, branding/advertising, communications and wealth management) to ensure effective execution of integrated plans, and the adherence to messaging, copy, packaging, timeframes, etc.

Recruiting Support/Acquisition
• Develop and produce integrated e-mail nurturing and prospecting campaigns, thought leadership white papers and other events to drive leads into the pipeline.
• Test new tactics, offers and messaging to increase awareness and total response rate.
• Consistently generate qualified leads.
• Create marketing plans for designated channels relative to specific target recruits and competitors. Maintain marketing and media calendars.
• Oversee web site, including innovative content, site updates, campaign landing pages, demos, site traffic/statistics reports, site plan, etc.
• Manage third-party intermediary relationships including industry associations, consultants, and referral sources.
• Manage the Company’s participation in selected trade shows.
• Assist in managing marketing budget.
• Gather data to manage the tracking and reporting of all recruiting leads
• Help create compelling recruiting collateral system

Thought Leadership
• Actively participate in developing and managing a compelling thought leadership strategy for the purposes of supporting our recruiting efforts – as well as brand and PR.

Skill Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a marketing, lead generation or marketing communications capacity in financial services industry.
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business required.
• Strong analytical skills - able to quickly size up a large amount of information and draw clear conclusions that are actionable, impactful, and realistic.
• Strong aptitude to rapidly learn CRM and marketing automation systems.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office products.
• A working knowledge of meeting, conference, and event planning operations.
• Strong interpersonal, written, oral communication skills.
• Able to adapt to and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and able to prioritize multiple projects and tasks under tight deadlines.
• Able to foster cooperative, productive relationships with stakeholders and interact effectively with all levels of management.
• Able to work with a high degree of independence.
• Detailed-oriented, but strategically focused.

Industry Mastery
• Understand the competitor landscape, value propositions, and win/loss criteria.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, market climates, and competitive activities.
