Our fashion client from Italy is looking for a Marketing Manager for a full-time on-site role in Santa Monica! Pay is up to 50K a year!

Some notes I got from the client are:
-small team from Italy (5) came out here to help open up the store and launch the brand.
-they all wear many hats, so this talent would be expected to do the same.
-Marketing manager would be taking over the Influencer Marketing piece (this has proven to be their most successful marketing item yet); maintaining and growing new relationships with fashion industry professionals, growing event sponsorship and brand partnership opportunities.
-Open to seeing all levels of experience, but main Must Haves are: fashion background and social experience (ideally with new social and the influencer aspect).

The formal job description is below:
We are looking for a dynamic, competent, with fashion and trend knowledge for our communication and marketing department. She/He will work as Senior Marketing and Communication manager for the Subdued’s brand promotion of the first store in the USA, which is located in Santa Monica, California.

Main Tasks

 Study competition in the Los Angeles market and identify risks and opportunities

 Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enable the company to reach its objectives within the Los Angeles marketplace and all sales channels

 Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals and financial objectives. Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to these goals and objectives

 Develop initial marketing plans for all campaigns, promotions, and branding events for the California region, based off of KPI objectives set by the Director of Marketing, the business needs of International Buying and Merchandising, and ad hoc requests from Executive levels

 Maintain a climate that attracts, retains and motivates top quality personnel


 Demonstrate a passion for and understanding of the Subdued brand, customer, and product

 2/3 Years of experience in the fashion market as marketing manager

 Significant commercial marketing experience, gained in a managerial role, with a proven

track record of implementing and sustaining market developments; Retail Marketing experience is preferred

 Good organizational skills and project management

 Must have an extensive knowledge of the city of Los Angeles, specifically the fashion and retail landscape of the California markets

 Must have a strong understanding of Key Performance Indicators and how it pertains to the success of marketing activities

 Prior experience in event planning and promotions is strongly preferred

 Significant analytical ability with comfort and interest in managing quantitative and qualitative research projects

 Strong experience and comfort in managing digital development projects with a special emphasis on websites (digital project management experience strongly preferred)

 Creative decision maker and good problem solving skills

 Effective written and verbal communication skills, sociable and empathic: inspiring for others and charismatic

 Must possess moderate Microsoft Office Suite skills, specifically Microsoft Excel for budget and forecast purposes, report creation, and data formatting

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or equivalent commercial experience

Santa Monica, CA

Travel may be required.
