Marketing Manager: Credit Cards

Our large financial services client located in Purchase, NY is looking for a Marketing Consultant to help strategize and implement marketing initiatives with the ‘Issuer Marketing’ team. This role is slated for a 6 month+ contract. The Issuer Marketing Consultant will work within the U.S. Issuer Marketing team and across Worldwide Marketing to provide support for Issuer marketing opportunities. He/she will create and implement programs that drive usage and loyalty and be responsible for supporting key marketing initiatives across Issuers as well as support client specific initiatives to position the client as a superior marketing partner. This role requires someone to work with internal and external customers.

Accountabilities:
-Manage and support marketing program development and execution and planning with customers, leveraging clients marketing and sponsorship assets for business development opportunities for existing accounts as well as prospective issuers.
-Develop customized and standard presentations to articulate clients marketing strategy, resources and programs to issuers and merchants (in the case of co-brand business).
-Partner with and/or lead internal groups including Brand, Sponsorship, Digital, Merchant Marketing, Research and Sales, and external agency partners to deliver against the client and partner programs and objectives. -Manage team tracking and reports, and Marketing portal support for Issuer Marketing.

Must Have Requirements:
-Minimum of 5 years experience having worked with payments or credit card marketing and helped assist a team in either pulling a marketing program together or activating one.
-Excellent Project Management skills
-Financial services background – in agency, issuer, or consulting.

Additional Requirements:
-Expertise in consumer brand, promotions and direct marketing.
-Working knowledge of integrated programs that leverage digital, social media and/or mobile marketing platforms
-Experience leading and contributing to marketing campaigns that engage cross-functional teams, including external client and agency management experience.
-Analytical thinker who has the ability to translate data and research insights into actionable recommendations
-Excellent oral and written presentation skills are a must need to be proficient in PowerPoint.
-Knowledge of the bankcard/payments market, with particular focus on co-brand card marketing.
-Consultative sales and marketing experience with strong interpersonal skills
-Leadership and project management skills
-Resourceful team player who takes initiative and can influence others to gain support/advocacy within cross-functional situations Education: Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.
