Marketing Manager (Copy Writer)

Our client's Video Team is changing the way people watch movies and TV shows. From one service, we're delivering versatile ways to watch hundreds of thousands of titles on the web, mobile devices, and hundreds of Internet-connected TVs, Blu-Ray players, and set-top boxes.

Copy is at the heart of the customer experience. We are looking for a talented and passionate copywriter with clear communication skills who can translate business needs into fantastic customer-focused messaging. Ideal candidates are self-starters who bring original ideas and fresh approaches to each project they work on. They are responsive, flexible, and thrive in collaborative work environments.

You’ll play a fundamental role in the content strategy and development process for direct mail and email marketing, site copy, mobile messaging, and more. In a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you’ll drive projects from early-stage conceptual design all the way through final delivery and launch. This creative and organized copywriter will work closely with marketing managers, product managers, editors, user experience designers, visual designers, and site merchandisers, serving as the guiding force for copy that will delight and inspire our customers.


Copywriter Duties & Responsibilities:
· Conceptualize and present creative directions, headlines, and copy for both on- and off-site advertising.
· Act as sole or lead writer on projects
· Possess a deep understanding of how (and when) interactive technologies can be used to deliver rich and rewarding user experiences
· Pay high attention to detail while managing multiple creative campaigns, variations, and feedback from project owners
· Iterate on creative approaches with a cross-functional team
· Adhere to the company's Video brand attributes and style guidelines
· Be able to understand varying audience and write in multiple voices and styles as necessary
· Understand strategy and be an active participant in ensuring the integrity of project strategy is maintained throughout the creative process
· Must be able to demonstrate effective time management - handle and prioritize multiple projects regardless of the inevitable changing scope, timelines, goals, deliverable, etc.


Basic qualifications
· 5+ years of experience as a copywriter with interactive/ad agencies, design studios, production or Internet companies
· Highly accomplished copywriter with experience in B2B AND B2C writing
· A thorough understanding of direct marketing principles
· Impeccable oral and written communication skills and an ability to influence others
· Strong online portfolio/reel demonstrating experience creating compelling concepts, and finished projects with a high degree of sophistication and polish

Preferred qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or equivalent
· Experience in the media industry preferred
· Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
· Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete projects independently
· Possess a love all things digital and have be current on entertainment industry standards and innovations
