Marketing Manager, Brand Marketing [MLC]

POSITION SUMMARY: 
Responsible for establishing marketing plans for brand partners that drive sales and keep competitive and beloved by clients. Partner with brands to optimize programs using  marketing levers. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• Brand Advisor 
o Serve as marketing contact for 30 brands simultaneously. Develop a keen understanding of the brands’ businesses, priorities, and products 
o Navigate conversations with and advise senior-most marketing leaders in the brands’ organizations on both the strategic and tactical level 
o Advise the brands on how to win at from a marketing standpoint, including sampling strategy, social media strategy, and consumer messaging to achieve mutually beneficial business objectives 
• Beauty Insider Loyalty Program 
o Procure and manage Beauty Insider sampling and promotional plans for brands 
o Analyze and report on  brand ROI for the Beauty Insider program. Utilize data to make recommendations and sell brands on continued investment, while also thinking about how to optimize sampling to meet  needs 
• Cross-Functional Marketing Lead 
o Build reciprocal partnerships cross-functionally in a highly matrixed organization: merchandising/brands, creative, store marketing, store education, loyalty, and analytics teams 
o Employ a strategic approach to process; organize and divvy up work effectively 
o Help Senoir Manager develop Brand Incubation Marketing strategy and on-boarding documents 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 
• 6-7 years of experience in marketing and/or brand management; agency, retail, and/or beauty industry experience preferred 
• Strong digital, social media and non-traditional marketing background a plus 
• University degree 
• Excellent technical skills – MS Office (specifically advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Smartsheet & Box 
• Proactive problem-solving skills; ability to anticipate obstacles and quickly generate alternate solutions/ideas 
• Honed presentation skills; confidence in presenting point of view in multiple forums, including leadership level 
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal 
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills 
• Creative self-starter with can-do positive attitude and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach 
• Personable and flexible with demands and changes in extremely fast-moving business environment 
• Proven ability to lead, build relationships, and work effectively in a highly cross-functional team 
• Passion for our programs, clients, store associates, and marketing 
• Ability to travel as required
