Marketing Manager

The Digital & Demand Marketing Manager will be a key part of the Gaming Canada marketing communications team. They will provide strategic direction for, execute and maintain, Canada’s Digital & Demand Marketing activities. This role will be part of a larger, integrated marketing team, and will collaborate with the Social Media Marketing lead, Partnerships/Events lead, PR, Product/Category managers, Channel marketing managers, Retail marketing team, global stakeholders, and agency partners.

Specific accountabilities include:
1) Owned Channels
a. Email Marketing: Work with local agency and global marketing team to develop and implement plans for email marketing programs, supporting campaigns specific to the Canadian Markets, leveraging global assets and local creative. Develop plans to grow our subscriber database.
b. Web: Work with the local and global programming teams to ensure our website is fully up to date with integrated content and offers. Recommend efficiencies and strategic direction for full optimization of the site on an ongoing basis
c. Social: While there will be a social media lead on the team, a strong collaboration will be required to ensure our messages are integrated. Shared ownership of the promotional content calendar will be required.
d. Owned Channel Growth: Grow engagement and size of our owned digital audiences, and increase value of said digital audience

2) Digital Media
a. Work with media and creative agency, as well as global stakeholders to ensure assets
b. SEM/SEO: Keep up-to-date on latest SEO best practices and implement for all web properties – select SEO tags and manage day-to-day optimization with media agency.
c. Work with media agency to ensure digital display and programmatic optimization/retargeting (tied tightly to our local website), is maintained

3) Analytics
a. Ensure each campaign/tactic has well defined KPI/ROI targets
b. Track and analyze all digital marketing campaigns to optimize performance and contribute to monthly reporting to the broader marketing team

4) Project Management
a. Apply strong project and budget management skills to oversee all marketing projects and deliver actionable results on time and within financial scope

Requirements:
• 5-7 years of consumer marketing experience, preferably in gaming or tech
• 4+ years of digital/demand specific marketing experience
• Strong fundamentals in email marketing and A/B testing methodology
• Strong knowledge in analytics/measurement tools and web optimization
• Proven results in demand and digital marketing campaigns as outlined above
• Understanding of programmatic, digital, mobile media
• Excellent communication and copy-writing skills
• Demonstrated high level of collaboration across multiple stakeholder groups - Team player, and ability to work in a high energy environment
• Experience managing performance of agencies
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Bonus: Experience with Gaming is an asset
• Bonus: Fluency in French is an asset
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in English, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Journalism and/or relevant work experience
