Marketing Manager

Our client, an educational company, is looking for a temp Marketing Manager. This will be onsite, full time hours for two-three months.

Integrated Marketing and Strategic Execution (70%)
- Monitor and analyze market trends that are relevant to their assigned program department(s). Develops and presents competitor analyses always staying updated on trends in the evolving continuing education landscape.
- Identify lucrative business and marketing opportunities for assigned program department(s).
- Develops annual strategic marketing plan(s) with enrollment goals, strategies, tactics, and budget specifically for assigned program department(s), working in conjunction with the Integrated Marketing Director. Create creative briefs utilizing various systems including CMS.
- Prepare and manage marketing plan and budget for specific program department(s). Develop and maintains extensive knowledge of assigned department goals, certificates, courses, and targets to identify and recommend opportunities and execute effective, impactful, and relevant materials.
- Working with the Marketing Research Manager and Senior Analyst, provides results of reporting, analyzing and making recommendations for future strategic and tactical direction. Present findings and make suggestion to Marketing’s senior personnel. Translate feedback, input, and research from program department(s) into actionable marketing opportunities.
- Define departmental goals and metrics, and under the direction of the Director of Analytics & Insights, review outcomes and continually and quickly optimize marketing campaigns.
- Proactively and enthusiastically drive enrollment for department. Collaborate with program units to meet institutional goals.
- Ensure that marketing strategies for each program department conforms to institutional strategy and are on brand. Oversee the social media presence of assigned program department(s), and ensuring adherence to institutional social media guidelines.
- Proactively seek cost-effective marketing solutions and innovation, always taking into account use of the digital channel. Liaise with PR/Social Media Manager to ensure thorough integration of public relations and social media.
- Serve as department point person for instructor interviews/commentary, student testimonials or CE/Program representative input, informing and coordinating as needed with the PR/Social Media Manager. Provide input to PR/Social Media Manager regarding potential stories or other newsworthy items.

Project Management (30%)
- Prepare online and offline campaigns.
- Work in conjunction with the Project Manager to ensure that projects are produced on time and on budget.
- Review all proofs and marketing materials for accuracy and adherence to schedules.
- Consolidate feedback and ensure that changes are made to projects in progress.
- Oversee and follow brand guidelines.
- Communicate costs and give cost estimate to senior marketing personnel for approval.

Qualifications Required/Preferred
- BA/BS in related field, such as Business, Finance, or Marketing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience working within a fully functioning marketing department or in-house advertising agency.
- Experience planning, preparing, and executing digital campaigns. All Required
- Strong understanding of industry trends. Willingness and ability to stay current with best practices, technologies, and features for relevant areas of marketing.
- Understanding of audience profiles, paid search, online targeting, PR, Social Media, and campaign optimization. Working knowledge of campaign metrics, ROI, and analytics.
- Working knowledge and experience managing contacts with CRM technology.
- Experience working with outside marketing vendors, consultants, printers, and designers/agencies.
- Understanding of public relations and social media as relevant to marketing strategies.
- Working knowledge of standard computer office applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint or other productivity software. Working knowledge of job tracking/scheduling software.
