Marketing Manager

A solar energy company in the Bay Area is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our Global Power Plants Marketing team. This role supports the global business and focuses on partnering with the Sr. Marketing Manager, Americas and the sales team to achieve quarterly business objectives. The primary functions of this role include: (1) Build deal momentum and drive customer engagement through conferences, seminars, web events, and project dedications. (2) Develop best in class sales tools to support each step of the sales process and establish the company as the brand leader in utility solar. (3) Accelerate the project development, permitting and sales cycle through local community marketing activities tied to specific large scale projects. (4) Maintain a healthy pipeline of future opportunities through demand generation activities. Bilingual talent in Spanish/English is very strongly preferred.

For this role we are looking for a business savvy marketer with the ability to understand complex financing and policy concepts. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a B2B sales organization with a long, complex sales cycle. Experience working with large scale construction projects or investor owned utilities is a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
· Support the Sr. Marketing Manager to actively manage marketing projects for the Power Plants Americas business unit
· Establish the company as the brand leader in utility solar
· Map the customer sales cycle and create collateral and sales tools to accelerate the buying process
· Partner with the Corporate Communications team to plan and execute effective public relation campaigns
· Manage the content strategy for the Utility sections of the corporate website and develop Country-focused content for LatAm markets on global website
· Execute customer events and coordinate attendance to industry events, partnering with the Corporate Events team
· Communicate the value of marketing driven activities to senior sales management through concrete metrics and clear examples of success
· A graduate level qualification in a marketing or business field, MBA preferred
· 5 years of experience with B2B marketing, preferably in the utility, construction, or energy industries
· Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and oral communications skills; can-do attitude
· Excellent project management skills and ability to create and apply program timelines, interdependencies, budgets, and post program metrics
· Languages: English and Spanish. Any other language is an asset

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as a successful track record as a team player
A strong desire to be a part of a rapidly growing business with an opportunity to progress
Experience in an International Corporation with complex matrix organization is an asset
