Marketing Manager

A Economic and Free Market Policy firm associated with a leading University in the area is looking to hire a marketing manager to plan, develop, coordinate, and evaluate marketing communications strategies to promote their research and programs. This role works closely with the marketing manager of policy research, as well as program leads. This position reports to the senior vice president. Responsibilities Include:

• Develop, manage, implement, and evaluate marketing strategies that build awareness and adoption of books and research published by their scholars through digital and traditional channels.
• Work with program and project managers to advise and guide marketing and identify opportunities to build awareness of our clients audiences.
• Work with program and project managers to develop and manage the creation of general marketing materials for conferences and other marketing purposes.

Minimum Requirements:

• Commitment to the mission
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in marketing communications with demonstrated team leadership
• Exceptional writing, communication, and listening skills
• Thoughtful and service-oriented professional who can manage multiple complex projects, lead effective teams, and build a reputation as a trusted advisor to co-workers and other stakeholders
• Familiarity with marketing to academic and student audiences and book marketing
• Strong knowledge of CRM, CMSs (Wordpress, Drupal, etc.), and familiarity with email and social marketing best practices
