Marketing Manager

AQUENT is seeking a strategic marketing manager for an opportunity in Richmond.

In this exciting position, you will develop and execute marketing communication strategies and customer experience enhancements across multiple channels and segments to drive business results and deliver customer focused solutions to business problems.

You will also partner with cross functional teams leveraging analytics, customer and competitive insights, as well as marketing best practices to develop innovative approaches to connecting with our customers, improving brand health, and driving credit card growth/revenue.


•Develop and implement marketing strategies and communications across multiple segments and channels to meet business and customer objectives

•Manage the creative development process from developing the creative brief through execution, partnering with internal creative and/or external agencies

•Autonomously problem solve to ensure execution, such as navigating process steps, collaborating to gain necessary approvals/documentation, substantiating claims etc.

•Collaborate with team to contribute to learning agenda and creative testing investment strategy

•Identify and implement direct marketing trends and innovations, competitive news and industry best practices that improve channel results and Brand impact

•Leverage metrics / analysis and customer feedback to identify opportunities and recommend strategies to maximize effectiveness and customer satisfaction

•Partner with our research department and leverage customer insights to meet unmet needs and fill consumer gaps, includes research stimulus development.

•Champion customer experience efforts, such as customer mapping and voice of customer initiatives.

•Serve as key liaison within cross-functional teams including partners from: Marketing & Analysis (P&L owners), Brand Segments, Ops/Production, Legal etc., influencing internal decision makers with formal recommendations and informal networking

•Adhere to tight timeframes and work independently to creatively solve problems

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or Military experience
- 3+ years experience in multi-channel marketing delivery and communications, including digital (online/mobile) and direct response marketing
- 3+ years experience in managing creative teams and agency relationships
- 3+ years experience in planning, execution, and analysis of marketing programs

Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics or similar field
- Experience in financial services is preferred
- Strong leadership skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills (including experience with Power Point presentations), plus ability to clearly articulate and express ideas to a wide variety of people and groups at any level
- Highly self-motivated, organized and professional, including the ability to work independently and partner effectively within and outside of the immediate team to achieve desired business results
