Marketing Manager

Our top payment technology company in the SF bay area is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager with strong agency management and tactical execution skills with experience and understanding of prepaid products.

This is a 4 month contract position with potential for extension and is an onsite, 40 hours/ week contract position.

The Marketing Manager will focus on managing client co-marketing activations, national promotion, budget management plus partner-supporting initiatives. A marketing manager with extensive previous experience managing projects, timelines and budgets is essential to this role. Experience with pre-paid is a huge plus.

KEY Experiences Desired:
5+ years Marketing experience with experience in collateral implementation, agency management, promotion and strong project management and client facing skills.

Nice to have skills:
marketing management / director experience, scrum, digital marketing

Industry preference:
Financial service background and pre­paid experience

o Bachelors degree in marketing or equivalent training required o 5+ years related experience required.

Responsibility level
o Typically operates as a manager assisting Business Leaders and/or Senior Business Leaders

o Verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
o Expert ability to work independently and manage one’s time
o Expert ability to develop and execute marketing strategy
o Expert knowledge of CRM, database marketing, lead generation, and campaign management

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
o Work with cross-functional internal groups (Product, Sales, Legal, etc.) on all marketing initiatives
o Work with external clients and partners in a consultative capacity
o Help lead and direct all external agency partners and other vendors on project, timelines, budgets and deliverables
o Lead and own the financial aspects of the cost of marketing plans and implementation such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections
o Negotiate contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies.
o Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends
