Marketing Manager

The role will provide leadership to the channel marketing, retail services and channel executives. It is responsible for creating and leading, marketing initiatives, programs and campaigns designed to drive sales and affinity of Company Products as well as improvements in the PC purchase process. Most importantly it plays a central role in maximizing the assortment of devices at each of the selling seasons (Back to School, Holiday etc).

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant marketing experience in consumer electronics, devices and/or technology fields. This role requires an individual with a broad skill set encompassing excellent marketing and collaboration skills/ with proven. This role requires an individual with a strong conviction able to lead a team and keep them focused even when dealing with ambiguity. Equally important, this role requires a leader who has well developed competencies in developing retail strategies that drive customers to our product line at retail.

Key Responsibilities:
• Hit P&L and scorecard targets for the overall Category
• Drive and execute a comprehensive all-up Category strategy (IPR) inclusive of product launches, marketing campaigns, consumer initiatives, investments and managing new channels or methods of distribution.
• Work with Channel Marketers and Account Managers to build business cases, as appropriate, for promotional opportunities; including an analysis of market conditions, consumer targets, and competitive threats. These business cases should deliver the maximum ROI, as well as tie directly to scorecard metrics to drive device targets.
• Manage and monitor execution of investments and big bets in partnership with retail services and channel marketing that are aligned with the corporate vision, goals, strategies, and priorities; providing in-depth business analysis at the country-level, business performance.
• Drive the PC aisle assortment with the OEM and RSM teams and support the IW team to drive Office Attach
• Drive the tablet selling motion to build the tablet and 2n1 categories

Recommended Qualifications:
• BA or equivalent 3-year degree plus 8+ years marketing experience in retail or related industry
• Completion of an MBA would be highly regarded
• Proven track record of managing a multi-million revenue responsibility in a global organization. Including strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Ability to remain productive and focused in a fast paced, evolving and highly collaborative environment. Proven decision making and analytical experience in reviewing sales trends, market trends and operational trade-offs to drive accurate demand forecasts and increased sell-thru and market-share results.
• Ability to communicate effectively and concisely - both orally and in written form and to effectively influence others in multiple groups and collaborate to achieve specific objectives.
• Ability to gain market and customer insights and to communicate to internal stakeholders.
