Marketing Manager

Leading Non-profit is on the looking out for talented Marketing Manager. This role’s responsibilities are to assist with marketing, communications and public relations in continued efforts to enhance our internal and external communications initiatives, to update and enhance our brand and to improve how we connect with our employees, the media, the community and influencers. This position is hands-on and works closely with Communications, Public Relations and Marketing staff as well as external resources/consultants to plan schedules, confirm methods and content, establish goals, and set timelines.

The Manager will help to develop, recommend, and help implement marketing, advertising and communications strategies (print, digital, broadcast, outdoor etc.) to advance programs and development and implementation of a new brand.

Responsibilities include:
• Help develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan that leverages all media including applicable digital/social media tools (web, mobile, media) and addresses new campaigns, events and initiatives.
• Assist with development and roll out of new brand (internally and externally)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop communications plans.
• Research and suggest platforms for new e-communications.
• Create, manage and grow organization's presence across social media channels, including but not limited to blogs, twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Linkedin, youTube and Instagram.
• Responsible for coordination of content across all channels. This could include blog posts, tweets, status updates, pins, photos and videos.
• Leverages measurement tools to provide progress reports and mine insights, while continually finding ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives.
• Work with Webmaster and serves as content coordinator for re-branding of organization's website.
• Manage communications and media database
• Set goals for media coverage, awareness, audience growth and engagement.
• Copywrite, design, and publish content on the organization's web site/newsletter as needed.
• Protect and adhere to the organization's brand, organizational voice, and graphic standards
• Help direct outreach to various segments of community to create more targeted communications
• Serve as point person for collaboration with local partners for any communications initiatives

Specific deliverables: event promotion and marketing, civic engagement and engagement and outreach thru SM, formulating marketing plans and suggestive budgets, media buys, advertisement plans (traditional and digital), press release. Promotional opportunities, various events around city, very limited travel. Conferences and outreach. Project management and events. Digital marketing and SM campaigns and what works best for different initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Working knowledge and real-world experience in planning, managing and executing marketing, branding, public relations, social media and communications initiatives
• Develop and share media coverage, internal employee communications and external communications
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in culturally divers environments.
• The ability to work in a professional environment while interacting in a community setting.
• Strong writing and communication skills

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of three years of agency experience in advertising, public relations, journalism, or marketing field.
• Experience working on branding, social media or web marketing and communications.
• Excellent oral communications, writing, editing, and research skills, and ability to frame and draft cogent messages
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, organize time, and identify resources for projects
• Must be a team player who enjoys working in groups but can function individually to meet goals.
• The ideal candidate will be flexible, resourceful, detail-oriented, and proactive with strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of District 4 community and bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
