Marketing Manager

We are looking to recruit a partner marketing manager with experience in working with Retailers and Payment Partners, preferably both offline and online and in multiple markets. The partner marketing manager will work closely with Business and Marketing Development team who manage the roll-out of the retail and payments business, with in country teams where they exist and with the Retail as appropriate. They will be responsible for managing every aspect of the marketing relationship from the proposition, through positioning and messaging, to creating marcomms and channel marketing campaigns and materials and driving the successful execution of plans.

The successful candidate will have deep marketing partnership management experience, manage operational processes, lead retail and payment partners channel marketing activities, and will have worked very closely with business and market development. The position is based in Palo Alto and will report to the Director of Partner Marketing.

The role will have the following key responsibilities:

• Translate the retail and payment partners’ plans into channel marketing plans, working cross functionally with Business Development & Market Development teams, Audience Marketing, Product Marketing and World Wide Retail teams.
• Define value proposition, positioning and messaging for Stored Value Cards, Payment Partners and related product bundles for target audiences in alignment with overall market and product positioning of the business.
• Create & execute plans for retail and Payment partners, including channel marketing plans by retailer, channel, payment partners or market as required. This may require close working with other colleagues.
• Define, develop and manage the experience in retail for cards and payments, including working with Creative teams, internally and externally, to develop sales materials, in store retail placement, all campaign and promotional collateral, in a manner that can be cost effectively localised and used by multiple markets.
• Define and support any market research required to enhance customer insight pre, during or post purchase and improve performance in retail channels and with Payment partners.
• Track and monitor performance of marketing initiatives to manage ROI and with a view to optimising effectively.
• Develop effective cadence of planning and relationship management with the retailer and payment partners’ teams.

Requirements

• Our ideal candidate is an experienced marketer with 5+ years of marketing experience, ideally coming from roles in retail marketing, in-store retail creative placement, or product marketing or marketing communications.
• Strong retail marketing and retail communications experience
• Good understanding of digital marketing
• Skilled in translating ideas into clear, high impact communications
• Can quickly and easily adjust to an agile and dynamic environment and execute deliverables.
• Able to fluently discuss and manage all aspects of partner marketing, analytics, engagement and reporting systems.
• Ability to influence and gain momentum with virtual teams
• Proven success in developing, implementing, and executing processes and frameworks to improve efficiency for marketing communications
• Excellent time management and able to juggle multiple projects and partners at the same time.
• Detail-oriented with great organizational skills and are meticulous in follow-up.
• Highly analytical and data-driven.
• Ability to run quickly with little supervision and adapt to a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
• BA / BSc required; MBA optional, 5+ years of relevant experience.
