Maximize the market opportunity for the platform through the marketing of 3rd party games (ie those not developed by us). This comes predominantly through relationship building and driving Canadian co-marketing plans with our global and subsidiary teams in Redmond and with North American-based 3rd Party Publishers.
1. Driving the Platform
• Determine which 3rd Party Games are going to drive platform sales in Canada – console & broadband online gaming service.
• Work directly with 3rd Party Publishers to develop marketing plans to maximize sales of these selected titles. This may include proposing co-op marketing deals to the publishers (ie shared funding between ourselves and Publisher).
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop leveraged and integrated marketing plans.:
• Promotions, Events & Partnerships
• Retail Marketing
• Provide support to the Sales team for the development and execution of co-marketed channel marketing plans.
• Measure & report on effectiveness of marketing plans.

2. Relationship Management
• Prime point of contact with 3rd Party Publishers.
• Owner of relationship with North American-based 3rd Party Publishers as it relates to Canadian market execution.
• Evangelize benefits of marketing in Canada to publishers with less hands-on experience in this market.
• Act as a resource/expert on the Canadian market for publishers.

3. Event Planning
• This role also has responsibility for planning the 2 key Media outreach activities of the year for Canada:
• An annual Canadian event, used to showcase the game platform to media, retailers, promotional partners and the development community. Full ownership of the media portion of this event
• E3: Gaming conference held annually in LA. Ownership of the Canadian efforts within this global event.

4. Budget Management
• Deliver spending budgets through effective allocation of 3rd Party Marketing & PR event resources.

5. Corporate Head Office Co-ordination
• Coordinate plans and understand worldwide experience to date via regular communication with 3rd Party International Product Manager and Publisher Account Management Team (based in Redmond, WA).

• 4-year degree in Business, Economics or Marketing
• Experience with Account/Relationship Building & Management
• Knowledge & passion for gaming industry
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing campaigns and managing marketing budgets
• Experience in Event Planning & Public Relations an asset
