Marketing Manager

Our client located in Los Angeles, CA is looking for a Marketing Manager for a long-term contract. The right candidate will have 5+ years experience as a Marketing Manager in the Financial Industry.

Overview

Works closely with Sr. Marketing Manager and the outside business units we may serve overall as our clients (i.e. Sales, Business Relationship Managers supporting the Business Development Group which includes TPA, Banks, Wire houses and Multiple Employer Plan market), to ensure marketing strategies are implemented and carried through to build consistent relationships, sales, and brand awareness in these market segments. Also supports a wide range of marketing projects ensuring deadlines are met in this high volume and deadline driven work environment.


Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the creation of specific marketing materials and programs to support the appropriate audience or channel relevant to project work.
• Prepares and submits Marketing Materials for approvals to Broker Dealers and wirehouses
• Updates and maintains Spreadsheets that reflects all the submissions to the various Partner Firms and their comments/approvals/declined decision
• Works closely with other Marketing Managers/Teams to revise/update the submitted materials when comments are returned from Partner Firms
• Attends bi-weekly conference calls with respective business units and Marketing team - to discuss on-going projects, initiating new projects and strategic planning to support company goals
• Supports channel through facilitation of growth strategy by developing new programs and materials for client partners
• Updates materials to support pre-sale to plan sponsors and advisors
• Opens and tracks marketing projects into Marketing Central on-line system to manage on-going projects
• Prepares, prints and distributes year-end Reports
• Produces accurate and professional marketing correspondence
• Updates Channel Management Toolbox as needed

We are looking for a person with these required skills and education

• College degree in Marketing, Communications or related field or comparable industry experience
• 5+ years of Marketing project experience including:
o Understanding of the pension industry, terminology and investment related terms
o Ability to understand Retirement Services Marketing concepts
• Proactive and thinks 3 steps ahead
• Ability to develop and produce marketing materials in a timely fashion
• Strong copy writing ability and editing and proofing skills critical
• Detail-oriented with strong project management skills critical
• Ability to multi-task and work with various departments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills. Must be proficient in the MS platform of programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, MSProject)
• Strong team player
• Ability to work flexible hours
