Marketing Manager

We are hiring a Marketing Manager who will be responsible for developing and inciting customers to come into stores and create buzz around events for our Global Retail client in Seattle, WA. This is a one person marketing department that ensures deliverables are met and work holistically to create a successful marketing calendar around events. You will come up with the creative copy and create a design brief working with UX designers to evolve web pages and support the content of the web page. 

Day to Day Responsibilities: 
-Participate in email bar raiser to review email content 
-Liaison of to create in store marketing events 
-Manage relationship with affiliates; music and video teams
-Support visual merchandising as well; collaborate since it’s a small team; being comfortable collaborating and supporting 
-Develop and execute customer acquisition and retention strategy. 
-Lead the marketing calendar planning for Pop-Ups including online, off-line, in-mall and other local opportunities. 
-Evolve and manage the customer life cycle management program, including email marketing. 
-Maintain and evolve our digital presence, including store web page, social media strategy, and digital advertising. 
-Establish strategic relationships with internal affiliate teams and external product suppliers. 
-Test, evaluate, and report on customer acquisition and retention activities. 
-Support store signing and visual merchandising with creative content. 
-Develop programs and operational templates to support co-marketing and special events in-store. 


What are we looking for? 
Top 3 Skills: 
1. Direct experience developing and executing digital marketing 
2. Experience planning and executing offline events 
3. Experience creating comprehensive quarterly marketing plan 

Nice to Have: 
-BA Degree 
-5+ years of experience 

How is performance measured?: 
• Evaluating time spent with Jenny (current FTE in the role taking a Leave) 
• Calendar completed with launch dates, email schedules 
• June-Aug planning of Q4- How is this resource putting together the mktg plan?

Schedule: 
-M-F Standard 40 hours/week no OT anticipated. 
-Extension is possible for an additional 3 months; Conversion uncertain at this time.

required skills 

-Experience creating marketing communications and calendars that drive acquisition and deepen customer relationships. 
-Experience with online marketing channels (e.g. direct, display, email, & SEO) and with using web and marketing metrics to evaluate content and drive decisions. 
-Experience with customer segmentation, engagement marketing, targeting, and database marketing methods. 
-Bachelor’s degree. 

preferred skills 

-Ability to analyze data quantitatively and use customer research, data and metrics to back up assumptions, identify opportunities, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs. 
-Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously 
-Experience leading cross-functional projects across categories or other departments 
-Excellent understanding of consumer electronics focused retail. 
-Brick and mortar retail marketing experience
