Marketing Manager

One of our Fortune 500 clients in the Financial Services Industry is looking for a Proven Marketing Manager that will be comfortable in a growing and dynamic in-house advertising agency creating consumer facing marketing materials with a group of creative and strategic people. As the Marketing Manager on this line of business you will engage internal clients on their marketing strategy and turn that into creative strategy. You’ll brief art directors and copywriters on the creative strategy and then work with them in the internal presentation of that work and the ongoing development of it. This role requires a deep knowledge and strong passion for direct response marketing including direct mail campaigns – best in class practices, what constitutes effective programs, A/B testing, etc. The focus is on the Personal Lines and Loans group.

The Account Management team provides strategic oversight of the business, customer and brand on agency deliverables and holds accountability for managing agency teams to meet client objectives, customer needs, and budgetary and timeline parameters. The team builds influential and collaborative client partnerships and leads agency/client communications and interactions. This includes writing creative briefs, managing creative development and schedules/timelines, internal team meetings, capacity management, competitive research building schedules/timelines, internal team/status meetings, prioritization, resource management, capacity management, competitive research, etc.

The primary goal is to help drive and develop effective marketing programs and materials which deliver on KPI’s and ensure that creative is delivered effectively and efficiently at overall client relationship, campaign and project levels.

Position responsibilities to include:

•Ability to build influential client relationships
•Deep familiarity with client business, customer & market insights
•Learning, sharing and applying customer insights, brand activation and business results
•Proactively planning and managing the business, campaign and projects
•Orchestrating teams (agency and client) through development of programs
•Leading, guiding and partnering to sell creative presentations
•Scoping, budgeting and briefing programs
•Partnering with other agencies and resources as needed
•Demonstrated direct marketing experience in print and digital (including but not limited to: direct mail, email, mobile advertising, online advertising, social media marketing, etc.)
•Being the primary contact for campaigns, projects or channel work for clients
•Proactively looking for ways to improve the business or agency processes to achieve better results
•Being accountable for defining and achieving campaign/project goals on behalf of clients by way of collaboration with internal (IHA) and external (LOB Marketing) leadership.
•Partnering with internal teams to develop and execute programs
•Owning internal team meetings, status documents and hot sheets
•Participating in project scope conversations
•Handling all internal resourcing
•Creating/updating schedules and provides to account to ensure current client collaboration
•Assessing risks to project and proposes mitigation strategies
•Collaborating with team members appropriately
•Aligning and partnering with Production as needed and manages project hand off
•Tracking progress- Time/Scope
•Ensuring file prep and upload are according to standards

Required Qualifications
•5+ years of marketing experience
•2+ years of leadership experience

Desired Qualifications
•A BS/BA degree or higher
•2+ years of digital marketing agency experience external agency or internal client agency
•4+ years of leadership experience
•Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
•Strong relationship development skills
•Strong presentation skills
•Strong collaboration and partnering skills
•Ability to think strategically, implement, and deliver business objectives
•Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
