Marketing Manager

We are a new product team focused on helping our customers discover and share interest-based suggestions, questions, and knowledge around the most popular hobbies and interests that our customers are already fueling with purchases from our online retail site. Our focus is customer engagement, with the ultimate goal of building a daily habit through our site for younger, socially-minded customers.

The team moves quickly, before we have all the answers, and we celebrate our failures and learnings as hard as we celebrate our successes. We believe in our mission to ignite the interest-based communities we see developing in the Customer Reviews and Ask an Owner experiences. We believe that customer-generated content is as compelling as, and often more scalable than, highly curated content. We will tune our user experiences and algorithms over and over until we are successful.

• This team is developing a new Social experience within a Shopping App.
• This is a Customer facing marketing role. This person will assist in building the communication cadence and engagement through owning the communication to our customers.

Project Description:
• Additional Support

• Create and send email campaigns that highlight customer-created content and drive user engagement with new, mobile app feature.
• We will provide template/heuristics for content selection and general formatting - you will be responsible for identifying and organizing content to satisfy these requirements.
• Taking a look at the metrics – Being in the visual dashboard and viewing the activity to monitor what’s going on.
• Plan communication engagement – construct campaign to attract customers into the network
• Post high quality content into the network that will engage customers that are on the network.

Typical work day:
• 40 Hrs/ No OT

Length of Assignment:
• 2 months (Ends 12/30/16)

Expected Start date of the project:

Must have skills:
• Social Media Experience – someone who has run social media handles or sent out social media marketing,
• Must be highly experienced with Microsoft Outlook.
• Solid copy writing skills and written communication.
• Must be fluent in Microsoft Excel.
• Experienced user of iOS/iPhone

Stand out qualifications:
• Visual Design or Email Marketing Experience
• Experience with visual design/email template creation.

Degree or certification:
• College Degree is preferable but will take 3-5 years of preferred experience .

How do you want to conduct interviews? (Phone, face to face, panel)
• 30 min Phone screen – then 1 hour onsite
