Marketing Manager

Large Media and Entertainment company in Burbank is seeking a Marketing Manager to join their Promotions team. This is a contract role with the possibility of extending.

Duties Include:
1. Along with Director, act as a key day-to-day contact for international markets (70+ local offices) during pitch process, program execution and assist Director in managing project timelines on assigned films to Director.
2. Collaborate with the Director in developing promotional strategy guidelines for each film.
3. Work with Director to help develop pitch materials (presentations, concept boards, premiums, etc.) for assigned films.
4. Research potential partners and participate in team brainstorms to identify suitable brands for potential programs.
5. Acquire and disseminate approved assets to international markets for use in execution (trailers, one-sheets/stills, synopses, etc.).
6. Route creative for international programs through internal departments (legal, creative, etc.) and assist Director as needed in securing filmmaker and management approvals.
7. Report directly to Vice President on all above job functions on non-tentpole films that are assigned directly to this position.
8. Directly manage the markets on assigned non-tentpole films to ensure they are delivering to promotional expectations; strategic focus on top 20 markets. Includes managing any production partners associated with these films such as Village Roadshow.
9. Update multiple international reports as needed including but not limited to weekly status reports, marketing calendar, film decks and future release deck
10. Maintain and update international budgets on assigned films.
11. Work with counterpart handling domestic programs to create wrap kits, memos and reports upon film release for distribution to senior management and filmmakers.
12. Assist the Director in legal process to ensure contracts are executed accurately on each program as well as directly on assigned non-tentpole films.
13. Assist in preparing materials for trade show events. Typically 2-3 trade shows per year.

Requirements:
-BA/BS degree in Marketing, Journalism, Business, Liberal Arts preferred.
-Typing speed: 50 wpm required
-PC Skills: Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Familiar with or willing to learn Report Builder, e-rooms, Director.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to articulate issues in a professional manner.
-Knowledge of file set-up, maintenance and filing procedures.
-Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and English usage.
-Knowledge of report, letter, etc. format


Preferred Requirements:
-Previous Administrative experience strongly preferred.
-Project management skills and experience strongly preferred.
-3 years marketing or publicity experience required.
-Experience in international marketing and/or research preferred.
