Marketing Manager

My client is looking for a dynamic, hands-on and high-energy team member who takes pride in delighting customers. They are looking for an experienced marketer with the ability to uncover strong consumer insights to target strategic customer segments and improve the onsite customer experience of the .com store.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized and focused on deliverables. He/she is analytical, enthusiastic, customer-focused, and creative. This person must be able to work at both a strategic level (generating new ideas to improve traffic growth and the customer experience) and at the tactical level (executing campaigns with site merchandising, analyzing traffic data, and solving problems). The environment is fast-paced and requires a candidate who is flexible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and thrives in ambiguity.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and execute traffic channel strategies and programs to acquire new customers
Plan, develop, and execute category and vendor merchandising programs that deliver strong ROI
Create engaging programs, content and strategies to drive loyalty, repeat purchases, and cross shopping
Analyze results of merchandising, traffic, and customer experience efforts
Create and manage multiple storefronts

QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with markup languages like HTML/XML
Basic SQL and Visual Basic familiarity
Copywriting experience
Project and/or product management experience
3+ years of experience in online marketing and/or merchandising, preferably in retail or e-commerce
Experience with content management in CRM/CMS programs, and/or the ability to learn new software very quickly
Strong analytical and data-mining aptitude, coupled with strong Microsoft Excel skills
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Bachelor’s degree required

RESPONSIBILITIES/DELIVERABLES
Responsible for merchandising the website, evaluating metrics to determine best practices and making adjustments to existing merchandising efforts to deliver the best result for the customer and company.

TYPICAL WORK DAY
8 hours per day, at a desk. Typically 8:30 to 5:30. No remote work.

TEAM CULTURE
Upbeat, casual and friendly.

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT
9-11 months

MUST HAVE SKILLS
Ownership, bias for action. Attention to detail. Can self-manage tasks and workload. Collaborator who can work well with others in fast paced environments.
