Global Banking & Capital Markets Marketing Manager

Reports to: BMC Banking & Capital Markets Marketing Leader

Position Summary:
This role manages the Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) programs necessary to achieve Banking & Capital Markets sector growth objectives. It translates business priorities and trends in the banking and capital markets sector into marketing and communications strategies and programs, and plays a critical role in integrating programs across service lines globally.

The role manages Banking & Capital Markets sector-based programs across the pillars of Brand and External Communications (BEC), Go-to-Market (GTM) and Communications and Engagement (CE). Within GTM, the role will execute market-facing programs, including developing thought leadership campaigns and managing large-scale global events, to be communicated across all digital, media and internal channels.

This role requires an experienced and resilient team player with a strong understanding of the banking and capital markets sector. The role will be required to build strong relationships and collaborate closely with the BMC Banking & Capital Markets sector marketing and Financial Services Cluster teams as well as with relevant client-serving professionals. The role reports to the BMC Banking & Capital Markets Marketing Leader.

Success in this role will be the delivery of world-class marketing programs that integrate service lines and sectors, that are relevant both globally and locally and that deliver sustainable, measurable results. Success will be measured through the clients global brand survey and through digital and sales metrics.

Essential Functions of the Job:
• Work in conjunction with the BMC Global Banking & Capital Markets Marketing Leader to create brand, marketing and communications initiatives that align with Banking & Capital Markets sector priorities to achieve business results
• Play a leading role in creating best-in-class issue-based Banking & Capital Markets programs and executing cross-sector programs
• Collaborate with the network of Banking & Capital Markets marketing and communications people at the Regional level; provide guidance, information and support to enable successful deployment of relevant programs
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on BMC issues, trends and long-term implications for the brand strategy generally and its GTM approach in particular

Knowledge, Competency and Skill Requirements:
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of clients business, clients’ issues and buyers’ agendas across sectors and geographies globally
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of the banking and capital markets sector; manage sector marketing programs that help us achieve our objectives
• Coordinate complex organizational, cultural or operational marketing and communications programs that include thought leadership development, digital media execution, public relations management and other communications
• Show initiative, coupled with accuracy and attention to detail; demonstrate reliability
• Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Demonstrate the ability to manage several projects concurrently; demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills
• Be a strong team player and lateral thinker, comfortable working collaboratively, virtually and independently
• Enable account teams by developing, expanding and sustaining long-term, strategic client relationships
• Assist in gathering client feedback to generate meaningful, actionable information that helps drive change and continuous improvement across the organization
• Understand the clients business; effectively navigate clients and BMC’s matrix organization to access, inform and engage the right people at the right time
• Build relationships with Banking & Capital Markets leadership; help provide the marketing support required for go-to-market initiatives
• Demonstrate excellent communications and networking experience and skills in a wide range of situations and with people at all levels within the organization, including global leadership

• Global travel will be required pending business needs.

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications (or equivalent area of study or experience)

Experience Requirements:
• 8-10 years experience in B2B marketing and communications
• Good understanding of the business, market and regulatory issues facing the banking and capital markets sector
• Professional services experience preferred
• Proven ability to manage complex processes and projects at a global level
• Outstanding communications and writing abilities
• Strong digital media execution skills
• Experience managing internal support networks
