Marketing Manager – Online Operations

The responsibilities will include:

•Ensure our website maintains and delivers an excellent customer experience. It's key you make good customer focused decisions.

• Ensure the presentation of content and campaigns are delivered on time onto the site, meeting business requirements and optimising the customer journey.

• Managing the website updates – To co-ordinate between the planning and commercial teams. Ensuring the site reflects key in store, online and seasonal initiatives and activities. Taking accountability for website sign off and the accuracy and legality of all messaging, offers and creative.

• Manage all weekly site amends and updates across the UK and EMEA, ensuring the briefing process works for all. Responsible for all quality processes & ensuring that the team test & validate all work through a stringent QA process

• Planning resource to ensure projects are delivered.

• Review and analysis - Reviewing all trade planning initiatives, zones and events to ensure learning’s are applied to future activity. Working closely with the Insight team to develop the use of web stats and how it can be used to improve future campaigns.

• Generate innovative solutions which continuously improve the customer shopping experience and service, to ultimately drive sales.

• Work with Insight, Trading, Planners and Commercial teams to improve current site capability

Key competencies / Behaviours

• Very organised and process driven - Ability to manage your workload, resolve issues and always looking for ways to improve the process. As well as a meticulous eye for detail, you will need to have a logical and analytical approach.

• Liaising and influencing – Working with multiple teams you will need to be able to communicate across different levels and make strong and hard decisions when needed to ensure we deliver to deadlines.

• Creative, analytical and pragmatic decision making – you will be able to provide recommendations and prioritise on behalf of the customer and business.

• People Management – both direct people management but also mobilising others to deliver.

• You will have a passion for learning and all things digital!

On behalf of the business and customers, you will have experience some/all of the following aspects

• Marketing experience – including ideally management of a trade plan, and an ability to offer flexible contingency when required.

• Planning - proven ability at delivering things on time and to a high standard in a fast, creative and dynamic environment.

• Ecommerce merchandising – know how to deliver the best possible site to our customers through content, image management and site optimisation tools.

• Quality Control - Checking content, to ensure it is of the highest quality, before it is published on the live site.

• Your written and verbal communication skills must be second to none – structured, flexible and clear.

• Use of CRM systems – ideal but not essential

Key Skills/ Experience and Qualifications required
• At least two years professional work experience in a marketing or commercial role within a retail company.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential
